Unofficial Sethrak Discussion Thread šŸ

Or perhaps something like this? Sethrak are based off the Bendouins so I took a look at ships of that region but of older eras. Persian, Arab, etc.

Perhaps if the Sethrak are nomadic like the irl Bendouins, there could be a larger chance of a group elsewhere. Or a population of the surviving Faithless wishing to move to another part of Azeroth.

Thatā€™s a good way to convince Blizz to make them Horde playable hah.

Iā€™m not sure I can carry that amount of optimism for Blizzard anymore.

I try.

And by nature Iā€™m not an optimistic person.

This just happens to be the random thing my brain has fixated on trying to be optimistic and distracted about.

Omg the amount of missing allied race threads is getting ridiculous. Sethrak still seem to have a strong following though!

Yeah itā€™s exploded all over the forums. XD

But I agree, about every one I see there is some serious love and interest in Sethrak.

BTW guys, the Vrykul alliance thing was nothing. They arenā€™t market Alliance, they are marked negative neutral. Seems most NPC races are marked as such except arakkoa which are positive neutral (so they can use all weapons).

So True.

Indeed! Vrykul missed the flight thanks to the inclusion of kultirans.
Any new race related to humans in any way would be just another annoying move by Blizzard in the wrong direction with the alliance.

Not to mention that there are people saying that vrykuls should be a race of the horde because vrykuls hate humans and that the alliance does not ask enough for vrykuls.

Because together with vulperas, sethraks are one of the few things worthy of appreciation in BfA.

Not on the direct topic but I have been meaning to share this image since I found it.

Now I finally can:

Hood pattern variations in the Indian Cobra, Naja naja.

Cept the Sylvanas attempting to damn them all to oblivion when she was still Horde, lost opportunity story wise for Vrykul.

Yeah it was flimsy even then.

Or at least unique enough.

Beautiful. Didnā€™t realize this much variation existed.

Probably the most iconic and widely recognized Cobra species for that pattern on the hood.

There is this one too. Monocled Cobra.

Both would make for some nice hood patterns for Sethrak.

That one. That is the one I want.

I want a Sethrakā€¦ I think its either going to be a priest or a Paladinā€¦ unless they give them druidā€¦ in which case if its anything like that fan art you found then Iā€™m just lost. lol

Lmao. ALL of them.

I want to make a Sethrak Paladin, Druid, Hunter, Shamanā€¦ Mage.

My almost husband wants to make a Sethrak Rogue.

Sethrak have are kind of a broad stroke across North Africa. From Arab culture to Egyptian if you count the Hearthstone art.

The Bendouins are spread across that region so that makes sense since thatā€™s who the Sethrak are loosely based on.

Who were/are they?

Nomadic people. :slightly_smiling_face:

Encourages me to believe that it is easily possible for there to be other clans/tribes of Sethrak.

There are all kinds of interesting reptile scale patterns and features, and real life snakes in particular have some neat ones. I could see Sethrak having a hood tattoo/pattern/marking option as a character customization feature, and even with helm graphics, Sehtrak hoods would likely still be visible.

Also, Iā€™m going to guess that Sethrak hunters would start with a Krolusk pet. Seems like the most fitting starting pet, in my opinion.

Krolusk makes the most sense to me as well. Especially since Vulpera start with a Cobra.

And a Krolusk like tank form for Druid if they were to get Druid would also be something I think would make sense. If not a Krolusk itself, maybe a bear-like beast with Krolusk armor.
