Unofficial Sethrak Discussion Thread šŸ

I canā€™t post pictures anymore because I made someone angry, or else Iā€™d share my ball python Penelope with the class. Iā€™ve had her for about 20 years now, I thinkā€¦

I am too! I was in tears about him the other day. :confounded: Iā€™m still nervous about his outlook but over the moon there is a chance he can get better.

Oh! Thatā€™s an old corn snake. Holy cow! Iā€™m sorry he is ill.

Also up there in years. Itā€™s amazing how long lived some species of snakes can be.
My Hershey is about 6 or 7. I am not completely sure on his age. But he is over the hill so to speak because the estimated lifespan of Eastern Hognose snakes in captivity is hard to say. Some say 10-12. Others say a little more.

I would also love to share a picture of Hershey but no trust level 3 for me either.

Not to mention Tauren and Worgen have terrible helm issues with a lot of helms and look, theyā€™re playable.

So we just disable helms for Sethrak and give them their own cosmetic decoration choice in the character creation screen that looks helmish and voila.

I appreciate that. Weā€™ve been expecting him to pass for a few years as his condition hasnā€™t improvedā€¦ But at the same time he keeps chugging along.

We donā€™t have to. I think their helms look pretty good in most mock ups. And most folk more or less use the same trick with worgen to get it working well.

Like iā€™d be fine with disabled helmets for Sethrak (more so if its added later like Hrothgar/Viera in FF14 atm), but at the same time since this all started people figured out that helmets work better on Sethrak than they do on Worgen/Taurens solely due to the lack of hump and more open space to work with since the Sethraks hood (if they have it active that is) isnā€™t as detrimental compared to the Shoulders and Chests of the Tauren/Worgen this allows them to be smooth creations in the long run, i believe they used WotLK and Classic helmets in the previews to show it off.

At this stage when people cry helmets on Sethrak its automatic to trolling for me since even an idiot can use google search to learn this stuff.

EDIT: Holy crap that was the fastest like iā€™ve ever seen like ever, this comment wasnā€™t even posted for 2 seconds yet.

Aye. I knew the helmet thing wasnā€™t an issue back before we got the new vulpera models. Lol. I mean itā€™s been that long since that was debunked.

Yes! If Blizzard has created a race ( junkgnomes ) that cannot wear pants, boots, shirts or gloves, why would the absence of a helmet, hat or other item be fitted to the head, would it be an obstacle for sethraks? :snake:

I just use this headgear because it looks perfect for a worgen.

But in the end, my head is totally unprotected.

Also youā€™re a rogue so hiding your face is important. :stuck_out_tongue:

I used a similar one for my Worgen Rogue as well actually because the masks always fit Worgen best i feel, my Sethrak probs getting an Eyepatch since it might look bigger on them.

Although if they decide to make unique Sethrak Paladins (akin to Tauren ones actaully being armoured Sun Druids) i might opt for a Crown that floats above there head like the fire one too since it would look good to see another Fire Paladin or Lightning one, i tend to advocate uniqueness for races and cultures instead of making them copy and paste for reasons (i really REALLY dislike taurens showing up in the Paladin order hall).

Now how about Heritage Armor?

Should it be something like what Vorrik wears? I really love all the armors we see the Sethrak wearing.

Omg yes definitely!

Love the sethrak armor looks. Make it pair well with the glass weapons you get out there too.

We really need heritage weapons, there are some in the game atm just not accessible which sucks, granted theres also quite alot of armour variants out there as well which is proven by Draenor Orcs having several for clans and the LFD mishap Blizzard caused.

I really really wish there was a weapon for Void Elves. Something nice to go with my Velf Hunter, and something nice for my Velf Warrior.

But having weapons along with every armor set would be grand!

YES.

Gw2 is a game that has heritage weapons. Theyā€™re called cultural weapons in that game. And what I really love is that there are different tiers of cultural weapons and armors and different sets depending on armor class. I would like to see Blizzard implement a similar system. Think it would be pretty great.

Like with Sethrak you could have 2 or 3 different heritage armor sets. The fancy/prestige (or whatever you want to call it) one being what Vorrik and the higher ranking Sethrak wear.

I love their weapons too.

Yes glass armour would be neat, they could really play with the transparency~

Something revealing for both sexes maybe.

They need to fix this game before adding other races.

That would be sweet! I especially like the idea of revealing for both genders.

looks at Blizzard while gesturing at Night Elves

Adding Sethrak as a playable race would fix this game. :woman_shrugging:

I think this would be a great idea!

This too.

I rewatched the Aladdin live action film last night and there is a dance sequence with both men and women and a Sethrak dance could come from that too, maybe. Both the male and female dances have some sultriness to them that I like.

Overall the Sethrak aesthetic is amazing. Would be a terribly terribly terribly huge miss if we donā€™t see them playable in the relative near future.

And I am hoping 8.3 will has some sort of hints to Sethrak in general somewhere.

Maybe with the peace treaty between the Horde and Alliance coming up, Sethraliss and or Vorrik will finally feel it is time to join a side.
