Honestly there entire story is literally customised gnomes, all subraces weâve seen this expansion have had a genetic difference to the main races in one way or another but those Junkergnomes have none iâve noticed, theyâre just culturally different amputees basically.
Just to give a quick example Void Elves were genetically changed by forced infusion of the Void akin to how Blood Elves became genetically different from High Elves on a minor level due to the Fel, Highmountain Tauren were blessed by Cenarius and over generations of there habitat evolved from the normal Tauren genetically, hell Magâhar Orcs follow the Blood Elf thing but in reverse when up against normal Orcs, infact deep sea pressurisation over generations lead to the Ankoan as a seperate species from the Jinyu (instead of a subspecies i think).
Impossible to give that to the Horde as i donât believe there is any other race in the game that can be used as a subrace that isnât genetically different for them unless you know they just copy the mecha parts on the Gnomes and give that to Goblins but even iâd see that as bad for them
I hope the trolling has ended with kultirans and junkgnomes and from now on Blizzard will look at the forums and see that sethrak, saberosn and arakkoas would be a welcome option for ally!
I prefer sethrak!
Whenever Blizzard invents any lore to introduce the most unlikely things!
Blizz can do it now, because, after Sethralissâs return, sethraks were forgotten about Horde history!
There is also something else that has not been explained!
Why does Zandalar export its criminals, throat cutters, and insurgent to the territory where Vulperas and Sethraks already live?
These elements often cause a lot of inconvenience to Vulperas and Sethraks!
There is even a group of trolls near a ruin that captures, brainwashes vulperas and uses them as gladiators for their enjoyment!
What kind of neighbor is this one who throws their trash in someone elseâs backyard?
If Canada exiled its criminals in the US, I donât think that would be well regarded!
It does not appear that the Zandalar treat other peoples so well on their own continent!
If I were the sethraks, I would be, euphemistically speaking, âdissatisfiedâ with the zandalar policy towards my country!
This is valid, but lore is also pliable enough with new races that if they wanted something to work out, then they could. Even if we didnât get the âdevotedâ playable, but the âfaithlessâ themselves. As long as the model is available, people can work out their own headcanon on the affiliation of their character.
For example, a lore justification could be something like 'Since Korthek fell, his followers are restless and wanting to build better circumstances and options for our people, but arenât sure how and there arenât a lot of resources out here to work with anyway since the land became a desert. Maybe some of them ought to go out into the world instead and find their own path."
That could even work conceivably for either faction; though I donât really foresee that both new and unusual races in that area would be for the same faction since the narrative is that they clash. Putting one on either side would be nice symmetry.
The idea that the Sethrak might not be very happy with the zandalari using their homeland as a garbage can for all their criminals is an extremely good point Iâm surprised I havenât seen in favor of Alliance sethrak yet. Thanks Grayphus!
I mean, Alliance did help them too? I donât know If Itâs 100% canon that Horde was the one involved with Sethraliss rescue but, even If It is, thereâs still plenty reasons for them to NOT join the Horde. And we all know Blizzard, they donât care so much with lore nowadays, Alliance helped literally all Nightbornes with their addiction and their homeland, and took only one Elf to make them turn their backs to the people who saved their lives and city.
They murdered a whole bunch of faithless that Vorrik wants to reconcile with, failed to protect the keystones, let their mortal enemy get summoned, dump their criminals on their doorstep.
Vorrik was captured by them so the Horde had to kill a few to save him. Then we had to kill more to help the Vulpera(at Vorriks request), then(since he realized peace wasnt an option) Vorrik had us ride a giant pterodactyl(he was riding it too) too blow the Faithless up from the sky AND use a lightning orb to kill 100 Faithless once we landed and then told us to kill Korthek. Afterwards the Horde went into the temple and saved their Loa.
Yes, the combined efforts of the Devoted and Horde were unable to stop Mythax from being summoned due to Korthek creating a diversion while Jakraâzet went and took the keystones. Thankfully, the Horde fixed that mistake by killing Mythrax.
