All these Night Elf storyline developments in 8.1 really have me hopeful! Trying not to get them too high.

You have my support! this is an Allied Race that has been long due for the Alliance. I can't wait to see them become playable
Many people are speculating the announcement of Vulpera joining us as an Allied Race. Of course the faction is debatable but it will be more likely horde.
With that, there was a leak (unconfirmed and no credibility) that a goblin revamp was coming 8.2 or 8.3 and along with that, worgen and Gilneas getting an Arathi Highlands facelift.
Vulpera as we know, share the goblin skeleton so I am not sure but Blizz could surprise us with nelf worgen. I am hoping of course! *fingers cross*

If we are going to use the worgen skeleton. I would rather have Saurock. Garrosh was interested in them. Or atleast one of his generals were.
Unfortunately it would be take with a other " horde bias" since its not high elf, wildhammer, vrykul or sethrak. Any thing elf that would make sense is still not what they "asked for".
I always put nigh elf worgen and dark ranger as the last and ultimate allied race. Both make lore sense, both keep the original elf model in their original faction ( night elf in the alliance and blood elf in the horde) and both are also a allied race for a race that dont have that much "sub race" ( worgen and fosaken).
I still think that we would need to wait a bit that every race got a allied race before.

People turn their noses up at the idea of more elves, but come on, the opportunity to be a more wild and savage Worgen is more appealing than a top hat worgen in my opinion.
I love Worgen in general but The Druid of the Scythe were always more interesting to me.
I think being at war and with so much story going on with NE right now, raising the NE worgen would be an interesting thing. Tyrande's gone Night Elf Warrior, time to bring down even more wrath on their enemies.

After seeing the Terror of Darkshore cinematic and seeing the worgen update, the idea of this becoming an Allied Race is painfully proper.
I mean, there is so much focus on the night elves right now and with the worgen curse being treatable, why would Malfurion not go into the Dream and awake the Druids of the Scythe and bolster their armies?! Not to mention Azeroth's Daral'nir (Tal'doren in Gilneas) would be more accessible to the Alliance because of the eradication of the Horde from Lordaeron. They said it themselves, "Alliance is getting the upper hand."
The art team could easily distinguish this different type of worgen from the Gilnean counterparts easily. Fur colors (we've yet to get white-ish furs and midnight black furs after all), night elven tattooing in the fur, tails (to pay homage to the pack form), the list goes on.

Love this idea. Especially now with Tyrande and Malfurion looking for revenge, I would love to see them look for new allies in the Night Elf Worgen sealed away in the Emerald Dream.
This could also play hand and hand with us retaking Gilneas and getting it updated. We reclaim Gilneas, the Night Elves join us there to pay them back for letting the Gilneans stay in their lands, then we use Tal'doren as the way to go into the Emerald Dream and get the Night Elf Worgen to join the Alliance ranks.

What even made you think a night elf worgen would exist and make you waste so much time on this post?
I wasn't sure about this until i saw someone's concept art and now i'm 100% there with you on this.
Night Elves were the first worgen. They were druids who used the Scythe of Elune to utilize the wolf form embodied by Goldrinn, but lost control and were banished into the emerald dream.

After seeing the Tyrande cinematic where she is talking to Anduin and Genn… Man it just makes even more sense for this all to happen!
