You literally cannot have a congregation of Elves and not include Azshara. She is their living history, whether they accept it or not.

They did it in Suramar, sure in Legion she is here, but her presence is little, but in Suramar, she is not, while she is very importante with it, she is mentioned but not here.

I wouldn’t say that. The Revantusk tribe is an avenue that can be activated at any time and as the AU Mag’har show, new playable races don’t have to be have obvious connections with an expansion setting.

Though I do feel Midnight gives them better odds.

In my opinion, we don’t need playable races based off already playable races. We need more unique races.

If speculation about Warcraft Direct occurring in late October/early November holds true, then we could be getting more information about the stream this month. Should we get anything Naga related announced, I will be quick to share.

We know Azshara is gonna show up again at some point. Be nice if that was the opportunity to add Naga as playable.

Patch 11.0.7 has been announced and there is Naga involvement.

The Naga are amongst the enemies that we fight on Siren Isle. However as Blizzard likes to seed stories, there is always the possibility of a hint of rebel Naga or something.

We are six days from the Warcraft Direct.

When it comes to any potential race announcements, I can’t help but recall how nothing about Battle for Azeroth screamed AU Mag’har and how the Man’ari (hyped as WoW’s first playable demons) were randomly inserted in Dragonflight. Granted it’s good to temper expectations, but it is something to consider.

Now when it comes to Naga themselves. I think unless Patch 11.0.7 establishes friendly Naga, then it would be unlikely. Though since we are getting Naga involvement in that patch, they could always include them in 11.1 and with any Naga involvement there is the possibility of them seeding friendly groups that are open to joining the factions.

So some people have received Exploring Azeroth: Islands and Isles earlier than expected and something interesting about the Naga was shared.

There is Naga infighting in Nazjatar, which easily serve as a way to bring in some friendly Naga that end up siding with us for one reason or another.

This Wednesday is the Warcraft Direct and I must confess that I would be pleasantly surprised by the reveal of playable Naga.

Now I do work when the stream goes live, so I’ll be checking wowhead on my breaks/lunch, and I’ll most likely share my thoughts when I’m home.

I said one of these years ago. I made a thread for it way back when we had old forums before this version of them existed. And I said mounting with them could be easy. You simply coil up on the saddle with your tail. Gearing for the legs…Blizz could just have a few extra long patch days to work it out.

They would work best leading the Alliance.

If we ever get Naga, they’re going to be purified. They’ll be called the Naz’dorei, and be blue sea elves.

I could see Naga ending as another neutral race. Though I would prefer they follow the Pandaren and Dracthyr where their are tribes that officially join the Horde and Alliance over individual choice of the Earthen.

I hope not.

Unexpectedness saw my work needing to change my schedule. So I ended up with the day off after all and did watch the Warcraft Direct live.

Now there were no playable race announcements and there was nothing Naga related in the stream.

Anyways the following were announced:

  • Warcraft 1 & 2 Remaster.
  • Warcraft 3 2.0 which overhauls the the environments, lighting, revamps the user interface, and grants the use of Classic Warcraft 3 assets in War3 Reforged with the ability to mix and match,
    • You can play Warcraft 3 with the graphics it held when the game first came out.
    • You can play Warcraft 3 with it’s Reforged graphics.
    • The example they showed of the mix and match was Rexxar and Rohkan in their classic appearance while the NPCs were in their Reforged appearance.
  • Warcraft Rumble for the PC
  • Hearthstone announcements.
    • A Starcraft crossover, where the Starcraft universe is entering Hearthstone.
    • Into the Emerald Dream, The Shrouded City, and The Heroes of Time expansions throughout 2025.
  • WoW Classic
    • Season of Discovery Phase 7 - Naxxramas and new content with a Scarlet Crusade Instance, and the Adventures in Deadwind Pass.
    • Mists of Pandaria Classic.
    • Fresh Classic Progression Servers Coming on November 21st for PvP, Normal PvE, & Hardcore and will progress through BC.
  • WoW Retail
    • Patch 11.0.7 will launch on December 17th.
    • Patch 11.1.0 Undermine(d).
      ** Undermine has been been plunged into conflict between the four major Goblin cartels, Steamwheedle, Blackwater, Bilgewater, and, of course, the Venture Company.
      ** We will align ourselves with the group of our choice and run into notorious goblins like Monte Gazlowe, Renzik “The Shiv”, Baron Revilgaz, Marin Noggenfogger, and more.
      ** New Raid: Liberation of Undermine. Gallywix is the final boss.
      ** More details will emerge in the weeks ahead.
  • Special Announcement: Player Housing comes with Midnight.
