Iâve been active in the forums suggesting Sethrak and Ogres in many race discussions! (Ofcourse with the added Wildhammer Clan Allied Race and playable Tuskarr ), but in all seriousness, Sethrak needs to be playable, WoW needs fresh races, unique races.
Iâll keep up my crusade in this, Sethrak for Horde or Alliance, heck make them neutral for all I care, just get them in here.
Iâm glad to hear youâre doing well. Please take as much time and rest as you need. This megathread will still be here when youâre ready to come back to it. With all the Sethrak supporters, theyâll be happy to keep the lights on for you while youâre getting better.
Letâs get some reptiles on that character creation screen!
Azeroth is a world of magic and fantasy, just let them throw on some clothes and it should be fine. There have been so many more outlandish things than reptiles living in snowy areas.
Also when it comes to weather, I really donât see that as a factor that should affect whether a race should become playable or not.
I mean, we see people running around with barely anything on in Northrend without turning into a Popsicle when itâs suppose to be a harsh environment that is colder than a bankerâs heart. Iâve also seen games where reptilian races run around just fine in such environments, like Iksar on Velious in Everquest 1 and 2 or Argonians in various Elder Scrolls games.
Not to mention that we go to places right near lava, which technically should either knock us out from the fumes or completely burn us up with how close we are to it. Besides, Azeroth is a place where magic is plentiful, and Iâm sure there could be spells or magical items that could be explained to keep people of various races warm or cool, depending on the environment.
Weather shouldnât really be a factor when considering new playable races. Especially since there is quite a bit of nonsensical things that happen in the game of all sorts. So seeing something like Sethrak or Saurok running around Northrend without getting a severe case of frostbite shouldnât really be a problem.

I have faith that blizzard is at least aware of the request and hopefully theyâll add many of the races people have been requesting these last few years.
Hope we hear something about the new expansion soon and how it adds every race weâve all been requesting⌠And more.
Sethrak need to be playable, along with several others I can think of, including things that arenât even a concept yet. Itâs time for Blizz to start cranking out some options!
Sethrak were a popular hope from folks as playable in BfA. As we can see here and on other media, the passion for these neat snakemen is still there. Many have lost hope for the game, but I believe that adding in community wants like this will restore trust and bring some great unique flavors to the game. Will they be the solution to everything? No, of course not. Will they make people happy and get people possibly interested in the game again, especially paired with others or more customization? Of course.
I think Blizzard should look into community wants like Sethrak. I for one would roll one if I ever returned to the game.
