Certainly not on a long standing franchise that’s still active in the market.
Microsoft will likely clean house a bit too by the end… I think overall we’ll see an increase in quality again.

I’m very interested to see where they will take the game, I for one am optimistic
So long as they take the game to a place I get Sethrak I’ll be happy.
Sethrak for the players!
Hey limited cross faction play is going to exist in 9.2.5!
Might matter even less which side they end up when Blizzard releases the Playable Sethrak to us.
Really good development to see.
Sethrak for the players!
As someone that pretty much only does RP and a few weekly M+ keys, (and even rarer random BG which already is cross faction anyway).
This is great news, I would be able to do pretty much any of my usual activities with friends from the other faction.
Pretty great that they allow for cross-faction instanced content.
Yeah. One of the discords I’m on was talking about them maybe later adding an option like the PVP toggle for RP toggle.
Allowing you to enter and talk to other players in the opposite factions cities and things.
I think that would be cool.
And again even more so, it wouldn’t matter which side my Sethrak was on then. I’d be able to play em as I please. I love that idea.
As much as I love cross-faction, I hope we will never get to freely walk the opposite faction cities. There exist neutral areas and cities for that, seeing a night elf freely sitting in a bar in Orgrimmar together with some orcs and undead would throw me out of it, to say the least. And you can’t really just ignore it either since such a change would change the landscape of RP forever.
My favorite approach to it is actually more of a reputation based system.
You do jobs for the opposite faction outside of any main hubs and slowly gain reputation eventually being allowed in.
I can see it being a little jarring for others though.
My main gripe is that while it may make sense at some point in the story (not at this moment I’d say since the peace is still uneasy and the war is so recent), and maybe for the character itself since they had to prove themselves by grinding rep as a game mechanic, this is not just about a single rare case of a character being allowed into the opposite city, there will be so many other players outside of you and that will change faction city rp forever.
I’m all for cross-faction content except for the factional cities and faction quests. Keep them seperate. But sure allow people to team up to do all instanced content and neutral questlines etc.
Thats entirely fair.
I can see how that would change a lot more or less overnight and forever affect how we RP.
It would be disruptive.
Literally just logged in to mention this.
Please don’t give up on your hopes for your playable races like Sethrak.
We might, just might actually get them…
Cautiously optimistic.
(Sorry I was out for awhile, I finally did actually get Covid. But I’m okay now.)
If the dev team was smart (imo) they would release several new allied races and at least one new class for the next xpac. It’s time for OPTIONS, OPTIONS, OPTIONS. One of the best highlights of BfA was allied races and the new models they brought into the game like Sethrak. They need to be playable!
I agree with that.
Now more than ever is a great time to fill out everyone’s desires.
As a Snake Dad… I would KILL for playable Sethraks!!! The customization could be quite literally endless with all the morphs actual Snakes have, depending on what Sethraks will resemble. I’ll never be not supporting of a Sethrak Race movement.
Although… would prefer if they had their own questline and that’s how you get them, similar to Vulpera… most allied races to me just feel so extra and annoying/difficult. Definitely throws off newer players and etc. Plus, they’re from the same place, it would make sense. I don’t really want to do 5 war campaign questlines, get an achievement, have to learn flying, and all that other baloney just for a pretty Snake that honestly should’a been out in the very beginning for that diversity, just like worgen.
I agree. The Sethrak would have been wonderful for the Alliance for diversity reasons.
Really seems like they had the start of such a questline too.
For now we’ll have to try to convince blizzard either to make new stories to ingratiate the Alliance with the Sethrak, go the route they’ve have probably leading up to Horde Sethrak or letting the Devoted join the Horde while the Faithless Remnants join the Alliance to avoid death or conformity.
Sethrak for the players!
Been seeing a lot of support and art for Sethrak on other social media lately and I’m hoping the excitement continues. I really hope the company listens to those who want them as an addition, I still think they would be awesome for the game and really unique.
Had this video pop up in my Youtube recommendations and wanted to share it. It shows off all kinds of different snakes with some facts on them:
I figured it would be helpful in inspiring some playable Sethrak ideas, including scale patterns. There are a lot of beautiful scale patterns shown here that would look really good on Sethrak.
Let’s get some reptiles on that character creation screen!
Thats not true the boss in Temple the one you need to heal is a female sethrak
Some of those scale patterns and colors!
I hope when Sethrak are released that we get an amazing range of options.
That’s Sethraliss a loa. She may not be a representation of female Sethrak.
That said, I believe if you read further in the main post it mentions using her model to create a female Sethrak model that still has almost no differences.
Androgynous snake race is an awesome idea.
Sethrak for the players!
They dont need to have such female traits to be female.
You can easily just make waist a bit tinner and make eyes more female and it would be perfect. Not sure how dress would look on them tough.
