I agree. Many people would want races unrelated to racial classes to be more inclusive.
Sethraks has his allegiances only to Sethraliss.
I don’t see them having a relationship of subservience or obedience to something that has nothing to do with their Loa, as this is their culture.
Still, a dragonsworn or dragon knight class is also something people would like there to be in Warcraft.
But with so few reptile-based races in the game having a major presence, it’s hard to see that happening.
I would already be happy with sethraks as a playable race, even in the horde.
And the alliance can catch a human with elephant ears, an orange-colored elf, or a gnome made of wood.
I want to see the Devoted join the Horde for all their help while a faction of the left over Faithless rebrand themselves the Remnant and sail across the ocean to SW to join the Alliance in exchange for providing their magics and soldiers the Alliance takes them in.
That way you get quite the flavor for the Alliance and the noble pious flavor for the Horde.
The Faithless are / were insane and vicious conquerors who sought to rule all of Zandalar and beyond. They have no place in the Alliance. The Alliance is built upon honor and justice. It doesn’t welcome the scattered remains of defeated tyrants. That concept just doesn’t work. I know some people want Sethrak to go to both factions but if it doesn’t work it doesn’t work.
I’m sure Blizzard can, as in the case of vulperas for the horde and junkgnomes for ally, supply alliance gnomes made of wood, to maintain the number ratio between the factions and perpetuate ally’s tradition of sticking with what no one wanted or receiving some kind of corrupted wish that only makes people more alienated from the faction.
Most likely something new will appear during 9.2 or after.
9.1 has a lot of polishing work that needs to be done. Bugs and disconnects hit me from time to time.
Every time I connect there is an update being downloaded.
With luck in 9.2 or at least 10.0 we’ll hear something.
Yay for wedding planning!
Hope you’re not getting too stressed out!
Sethrak for the players!
I haven’t been hit too much with that, but 9.1 is mostly a let down for me. Just more chores for the most part.
Eh lets not. Wait. No. Lets bring him back in the Shadowlands and have him explain his position and… I don’t know… say he was manipulated by General Jakrazet and the Old Gods into doing some of the really bad things.
And that with his death mention that several of his followers are no longer under the effects of his own semi-madness and that while they wont join the Devoted they will need to find someplace new… Like… you know…the Alliance. >.>
Half the time I go to Heart of the Forest I get disconnected as soon as I land from the FP and then get disconnected every 5 sec like 10 more times. I have no idea how that started but it’s really annoying.
Nothing known yet.
I dunno how you could say this when there’s a new toy that lets you become the size of a building. https://i.imgur.com/5oFdEcE.jpg
As Korthek himself stated: he did not force his Sethrak to join him in releasing Mythrax they joined of their own will.
Korthek of course sought to release Mythrax because he wants to conquer Zandalar for the same reasons the Maldraxxi Construct Emeni did. Emeni used to be a Sethrak Princess who conquered Voldun before she came to Maldraxxus.
She is seen as a Good Guy and apparently has grudges with every Sethrak in Voldun some of which knew her personally(she ruled long before Mythrax invaded Voldun requiring Korthek and the other Sethrak Keepers to seal him away).
She regularly invades Voldun to continue her massacre of those who offended her in her Principality(the fact that the Allied Necrolords don’t offend her indicates that whatever the Sethrak did to offend their ancient princess was a lot more offensive than anything we do which at worst is merely dismissed as palpable envy).
If Emeni is a good guy despite being a conqueror in a time of peace than Korthek can become one too even if we have to retrieve him from De Other Side(due to Horde Players’ bargain with Bwomsamdi gifting him every Soul they killed in Zandalar) alongside Zul(who realized how wrong he was to side with G’huun the second we killed him)!
Incidentally Emeni’s rivals not only include every Sethrak but in particular list a Nemesis who didn’t realize he was a Nemesis: Skycaller Jorthok.
He was quite shocked to find that he had somehow offended her and thought he was her friend. The fact that he is a member of the Faithless indicates that he was as much a warmonger as she was though I can guess that like Margrave Gharmal(whose attack on Bastion she opposed) he attacked something she didn’t want attacked.
Her other top opponent was the descendant of a neighbor who was slightly annoying though considering we, Morgraine and Draka never annoy her that says a lot.
What she says would put us Players on her list is failure to shorten her list and we hear of no other way of getting on her list. How the neighbor botched his job I cannot fathom but Emeni clearly was not pleased and came for the Sethrak’s descendant.
If Korthek is one of the few dead Sethrak not on her list(and most being on said list for failing him or getting him in contact with Jakra’zet who got him killed) we may be able to use her for negotiation with him!
Considering Emeni objected to invading Bastion the Sethrak of her type despite being warmongering doesn’t invade it’s official allies.
If she helps revive Korthek they can have the Faithless join the Alliance easily. An ally that won’t attack it’s friends and helps fight against enemy threats is quite valuable.
