Unoffical Playable Sethrak Discussion Thread

Still see people on Twitter expressing their want for Sethrak, they are very much still wanted. It would likely spark the interest of many people again, in my opinion.

Here’s to hoping for playable Sethrak someday!

Casual reminder that the Sethrak would make a wonderful allied race for either the Horde, Alliance or both!

Playable Sethrak please!

Yes, I’m still alive.

Glad to see you’re all still relatively active! Makes me happy the support continues.

As usual, I am also advocating on Twitter!

And don’t forget to make those in game suggestions!

9.1 is coming soon. :heart::snake:

Wonderful! I’d begun to worry.

(Fezzy by the way)

Maybe we’ll get lucky and get some more story for Sethrak through Emeni along the way.

If Sethrak became playable, I MIGHT be tempted to redownload retail and level a few snek alts. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m fairly sure at this point I’d have my Sethrak Priest, a Mage a warlock and if they’re available a paladin and a druid. lol

I would for sure make a Skycaller (even if I had to pretend with Shaman). Now what to name him…

I might just race change one of my existing chars

I’m not even sure there’s that much to pretend, since the shaman class fit skycaller perfectly, the racial totems could easily be some variation of mini-skycaller towers. Shaman uses a lot of lightning, and they also have earth spells which can be a good substitute for sand spells.

Yeah but Blizz could do so much more with swirling tornadoes with shards of glass, etc. They could take a lot from the Vortex Pinnacle. I, personally, would like to see a new class for Sethrak with Skycallers, Ravagers, Dervishes, Menders, or whatever Blizz wanted to make. Menders would be cool because they are pretty much alchemists that hurl vials and stuff.

While I think a new class like that is probably a long shot…

It does sound entertaining.

Anyone think Sethrak would be applicable to some of the bigger class requests of late?

Necromancer
Tinker
Bard
Warden
Dragonsworn

Anything else you can think of?

Dragonsworn shouldn’t be a thing ever ever ever.

But I can see sethrak bards and necromancers.

Never give up.

At a time when warcraft as a game is demoralized by the gaming community, the need for something like sethraks could bring at least a breath of real newness to the game.

I do hope blizzard sees at least that the are plenty of races still immensely desired.

We can only keep showing support and asking for the things we want to see!

Sethraks are something both the game and the players need.
A new race can at least give encouragement for departed people to come back and even attract new players by providing something new.
The game needs new blood.
The game needs new races.

And sethraks are the answer. Not a breed copied from an existing one but a really new one.

Sure why not, any race could technically be a necromancer, but I don’t think the practice would be accepted among the devoted.

There’s a whole camp of faithless sethrak that use some scavenged goblin tech in Vol’dun as part of the engineering tools of the trade quest-line. Although they didn’t get the mechs working they still used some other tech.

Oh yeah, every race should be able to be bards.

This one I doubt since warden is such a night elf specific class, like what a shadowhunter is to the trolls. Or a dark ranger is to undead elves.

Technically every race could be dragonsworn if we go by the old lore, it’s just that the dragons don’t have a presence in Vol’dun or Zandalar from what we’ve seen, that does not mean that we could not get new dragonsworns after some sethraks leave and meet dragons though.
I just doubt it since I think it would fit better for races with a closer relationship with the dragons.
