On the whole though most of Wow’s races would have an overall ideological (or moral in some cases) reason for one side over the other rather than being Neutral.
Like Ogres for instance. They’re already a part of the Horde, they’ve got very little reasons to like or be inclined towards the Alliance’s general ideological stances and wouldn’t fit immensely well as a neutral race given their history and where players would likely want them to be.
That said… The Alteraci would make a very good choice for a human nation to go Horde despite where the humans generally stand now as Alliance overall.
So it depends I think.
The Sethrak supposedly had quite a large underground Empire beneath Zandalar… I could see them being someplace else as well… like say in a new area…near to the last bastion of Nerubians. >.> lol
So here is the thing, we have access to the models and we have modders working on them I’ve seen some customized models on epsilon, a private server focused on rp, and they look good, what modders or Blizzard needs to do is find a way to let players use modding tools on official servers without interfering with the gameplay, so the players would be able to use cosmetic mods with no risk of being banned, this way we could play as any race we wanted as long as we mod it. However Blizzard doesn’t care about this because allowing players to use cosmetic mods would undermine their cosmetic shop, so we are left to what little the modding community can do, but messing with the files on official servers can get the modders in trouble, so most of them focus on private servers which are safer
OMG, I didn’t knew that. People should know to only do erotic rp on private servers dedicated to adult players, there are kids playing the game ffs!!!
That’s why we can’t have nice things.
Some people also used model edits to get an advantage in content, like making treasure chest/mining nodes/spell effects much more visible and harder to miss. In both PvE and PvP.
Ooo, nice to see they’re still getting some dev attention.
I really think there’s still some room in future patches of TWW for some Sethrak content, especially considering the hazy origins of the Reshi and how they relate (if at all).
Thats an awesome thread with clearly a lot of work done!
I would really like to play a Sethrak for sure!
Althought i never really understood why people thought they would be Alliance when they always had a relation with the Zandalari and the Horde questline in Vol’dun is the one that actually do the whole story.
Several minor reasons but it is generally true that they’d most likely go Horde.
Some folk saw them as a counter point to the Vulpera and due to some cut content there was evidence they might have been originally slanted for it.
But thats not how things went down and so they’d most likely be Horde as we have them now.
That said, I still maintain a neutral faction of them in TWW underground separated from their empire back before the Sundering would have been a great way to add them…
