Would a saberon Druid then have a cat form? Or would we have to come up with something else…

I don’t see why they wouldn’t have a cat form. It makes sense and likely would be very easy to make. You can based the cat form on whatever fur pattern you choose for your Saberon, which would work very well. Manes for males on cat forms would also work.
I could see a lot of potential if they could be druids!

I’d also want a Saberon-like form for Druids. They already get a cool werebear form, why not a weretiger form?

Probably be a bit burly and strong and designed off lion like the Tauren one is.

I would guess that a Saberon Druid cat form would likely have teeth similar to a sabertooth tiger. A lot of cats on Azeroth have them, so I imagine it wouldn’t be too hard to implement them for cat form. You could still have the different fur patterns and still have the saber teeth look natural on them as a result.
I mean, the word “saber” is part of their race name, so it is fitting for them to have saber teeth in cat form. Assuming they would become Druids, of course!

I agree, any cat form for them must have Saber teeth. Just makes sense.
They’ll need to be pronounced so as not to look like it’s just a fangs of ashamane form.
But then again the rest of the tiger/lion/cheetah/leopard/snow leopard look to the cat form would look different enough.
I did look around and confirmed they do have druids.
They only use caster spells but undoubtedly a druid.

It’s interesting to see that they can be Druids. If they become playable and can be Druids, I’d have to consider a Feral Druid for one of my Saberon character ideas.
Also would be interesting to see them fight against Botani and, if they joined the Horde, help to assist any damage they do to the area and healing the Barrens afterwards. Likely could play a key role with them residing in the Barrens too.
I’ll have to think more on this to be able to elaborate my idea further.

This is a storyline I’m very interested in.
I personally don’t see Botani likely as a player race (No offense to those who like botani and want them playable) but I do see them as an amazing group to be used in a revamp of the Wailing Caverns again. Imagine the Botani trying to bring the Overgrowth to Azeroth and partially succeeding. We’d have a whole new dungeon and poor old Naralex wont have to be sleeping again.

I personally don’t see Botani as a playable race, but wouldn’t be opposed to it at all. I’m sure something could be done with them in that regard. Maybe if we see a Botani megathread made by Botani fans someday, they can figure that one out.
I do think that them being able to reproduce and taking over an area very close to Orgrimmar is very worrying. Moreso seeing what all they did on AU Draenor. I also think it’s something that should come up again in the near future, since it has been awhile since they came with us from AU Draenor.
It’s also a good opportunity to bring the Saberon that came with us into the picture. If they become a Horde race, have the Mag’har make amends with them and get the Saberon to work with the Horde and even join them. They can also help to heal the land after we deal with the Botani threat.
Just seems like more and more neat opportunities pop up the more I think about it. Makes me hope we’d see this in-game someday.

Came across this video about Khajiits from the Elder Scrolls series. While they’re much different from Saberon, I figured I’d share this in case it could inspire any Saberon ideas:
Since WoW and ESO will be sibling MMO’s in the future, I figure looking at the Khajiit would be a good idea to see what they’re like.
One good thing that would come with playable Saberon is that we’d see their lore and culture more fleshed out. I’d be curious what all it would be like, since we don’t have a lot to go on at present.

I’d come back to playing WOW again if they brought Saberons as a playable race…that looked like this 
(and the regular style saberons too!)
I think saberons would be a great addition to Azeroths races. I agree they need to flesh them out more with background and culture…but it would be neat to see what they come up with!

If there ever was one, I never saw it. At best, I’ve seen a few people off and on interested in the idea, but I don’t think a megathread for them was ever created.
As I said, I’m not against them being playable and I’m sure something could be done with them to flesh them out more. However, I do feel that Botani as an antagonist would have a lot of potential for storylines with the Barrens and even have Saberon as part of it. Seeing what the Botani did to several creatures in WoD, I doubt they’d be hanging out with each other or even be on friendly terms at any point and time.
But if someone wants to support playable Botani, more power to them. I do feel in my personal opinion that Saberon and Arakkoa would be a better pairing, since they both have a bit of history with each other.
As long as we got playable Saberon, I’d be happy in general.

Yeah thats pretty much how I see it.
If I ever do see a thread pop up for it I’ll be sure to hop in it and support… then add it to my list of race and customization threads. lol
Saberon helping the Horde deal with some Botani to get into their good graces would be a good way to start things off for sure though.

I feel like a Botani threat would be dire enough to warrent cooperation between Saberon and the Horde if Saberon became a Horde race.
The Botani sphere of influence would likely expand very quickly. A place like the Barrens where Saberon could have resided, where there is plenty to hunt among other resources, could threaten them very well. Not to mention the likely lowered source of animals to hunt if the Botani are snatching up creatures like in AU Draenor.
And as I said, having that go on right on your backdoor step to the Horde’s main capital city and potentially Thunder Bluff and spread past that wouldn’t be very high on the list of fun, happy, and healthy activities in the Barrens. I would guess that a lot of patrols and other members of the Horde would get snatched by the Botani in the area as well.
Saberon have an incentive to work with others since they escaped the Lightbound and don’t really have anywhere to go to survive. Not to mention that members of their tribe would be hunted. It’s likely one way or another, they would meetup with the Horde and work with each other to figure out this threat.
This could setup the Barrens as a questing hub to deal with this Botani threat. Complete with world quests, regular quests, and a dungeon to run. Lots of potential with this idea.
Afterwards through the power of grinding rep…err, I mean the power of the Horde’s might, you could stop the Botani from taking over the Barrens. With Saberon having Druid powers, they could help to heal the Barrens and hold talks with the Horde, possibly joining them afterwards.
A lot of this would need to be fleshed out, but there is a lot you can do with scenario. I assume Alliance would get something similar with another race, maybe if Arakkoa became an Alliance race, in another area.
Maybe it’s something I’ll think more about and write up sample scenarios when I can!
