With the “Ethereal Raid Icons” coming from the datamining, it’s possible we get something with Ethereal in TWW. Maybe the will attack the famous tree Haranir protect so we could help the Haranir to protect this tree against evil Ethereal.
Ethereal seem to be a part of the Midnight expansion too with the Void.
I could see us working with a group of Ethereals in TWW and then them joining us for Midnight. Since there are different Ethereals groups, I could easily see them becoming a neutral race with one group joining the Horde and another the Alliance.
Ethereal could be playable in Midnight. Not sure about this but there are on the table for sure. If it happens, they should be neutral because I think it’s the best option for them. Also, don’t forget Forest Troll for the Horde as playable race in Midnight too please 
Very much this. And neutral Ethereals makes sense. I’m not sure on the Alliance race though. I very much feel that the Broken have been seeded as a race, so there’s one possibly. Though I have a weird feeling that Broken could get paired with Ogres instead… Perhaps the Arathi Half Elves?
I just can’t see Blizzard doing High Elves, since both Blood and Void Elves can appear as them. Plus the last time Blizzard added an elf race, they just made the Darkfallen as customization.
I’d like the San’layn for the next expansion personally given the whole Elven Tribes thing.
For some reason I think they will be the new race/ class. I got feeling.
We could get Ethereal as playable race in Midnight but it’s not sure. One thing we can speculate is we will get a patch (11.2?) with some Ethereal stuffs in TWW. Maybe we will get Ethereal with Xal’atath and some other ones with us to fight against her.
What I would like to see when I launch the game. 
Just replace Frostborn Dwarf by Vrykul, Leper Gnome by Mogu and Vrykul by Saberon and my dream will be complete. 
Broken, Ethereal, Vrykul, Furbolg, Mogu and Ankoan/Jinyu for the Alliance.
Ogre, Taunka, Saberon, Forest Troll, Gilgoblin and Sethrak for the Horde.
Hanarin and Tuskarr (with eventually Mogu and Vrykul) as neutral race.
Please blizz, make it happens.

Unironically seething that we are closer to playable ogres and ethereals than we are to Naga, but I am glad you get at least something closer to your dreams.

Very nice that we are closer to getting playable ethereals soon. After all I always wanted to play one since TBC.
Not to burst your bubble, but our next raid will be related to Ethereals… Maybe they do something crazy and set up the race to be playable by midnight, who knows. Or it could just be NPCs we kill 
With these customizations, I’d be surprised if ethereals don’t become playable in TWW. Blizzard will need to add many more customizations before they become playable. I think they will most likely become playable by the end of TWW.
The likely candidate so far is the harronir. But who knows, maybe we do get more than one? Although these aren’t existing races slapped with a new skin color or tattoos that you can call “allied race.” So who knows.
Perhaps we’ll get both at the same time. Like say we get a storyline where the Shadowguard is invading the Rootlands and as we aid the Haranir, we also end up working with friendly Ethereals that have seek to stop their wayward brethren.
Ethereal would definitely be a proper new race, likely for Midnight. Haranir are more Allied Race territory.
In thinking about K’aresh or the Rootlands for 11.2, I find the Rootlands more likely. In saying that I can easily see K’aresh and playable Ethereals occurring in Midnight. Say the Remnants of K’aresh as the 12.1 zone, to show what will happen to Azeroth if we fail. Though I wonder if Ethereals would arrive then or at the launch at Midnight, with the Fall of K’aresh being the starting zone.
I thought Dimensius destroyed Kharesh. How is it possible we could visit the planet if it was destroyed?
He didn’t destroy it entirely. They were able to erect an arcane shield that took the brunt of it but also led to them becoming the Ethereals.
Think more like Outland compared to Draenor.
