The Arakkoa are amazing, especially the Cursed ones, I’m 100% behind you guys. They perfectly embody that peculiar Outland feeling that I love, the sci-fi melancholia of a dying planet and the savage darkness the natives try to harness in a desperate attempt to survive. Love em
I have to 100% agree with you, if anything it shows Winged Races can definitely be implemented in WoW amazingly with no draw backs, I would love now to see more winged races expanded in the future!.
The Arakkoa wouldn’t need to be soaring quite like the Dracthyr even. They could just fly like a normal mount mode.
Though I’d want them to have the “dragonriding” effects at least in Dragonflight as well. lol
this would be interesting
Someday we’ll go back to Draenor and Outlands to rescue these flappy folk
Arakkoa for the Alliance!
Give me those hot birds from alt!Draenor, Blizz
I love this idea! To find out which faction they should join exactly I recommend them being neutral. It’s more likely and ideal.
Give Arakkoa to the Alliance! Let’s goooo!!
The reason I believe they would be Alliance instead of neutral or Horde is because of their culture and what the Alliance offers that the Horde can’t.
The Horde doesn’t really have a culture around the Light other than the Blood Elves and they primarily attribute the Light to the Sunwell. The Horde also isn’t very fond of the Void, especially the Blood Elves.
Arakkoa have a culture that involves worship of the Light and the Void. The Alliance has the Lightforged Draenei and the Void Elves. Together, they offer both aspects of Arakkoa worship that the Horde simply wouldn’t be capable of offering.
This is why I recommend Saberon for Horde, because the Horde can offer the Saberon a home better than the Alliance can.
Excellent point, perhaps I should’ve gone back and read the entire thing again.
Would be pretty coo
Blizzard I found your new dev
Hehe.
You should squawk about it some more.

I’ve always been fascinated with the Arakkoa stuff, since TBC. Never forgot the first time running into a camp during quests on Terokkar Forest. Sethekk Halls, a great, eerie dungeon. Good times. Spires of Arak? Favorite WOD zone ever. The cursed feather toy has always a place reserved on my action bars. Great research, OP!
they are a powerful race
Been a couple years since I chimed in, but I still very much would love to see Arakkoa join the roster of playable species.
No one gives birdfolk proper recognition.
can you fly or just glide
Just gonna reiterate that I support this race. Too tired to write out more right now.
