The duality of their culture is what interests me.

I canāt believe I forgot these.
Ritoās version of Breath of the Wild has a very nice look.
Itās a neat race in Zelda. I heard that they were also originally considered for ocarina of time.
Oh. Oh wow. Many birbs!
Let it be so!
Happy new year to Arakkoa fans!
Iām still very much interested in playable Arakkoa. I know they have been requested for a long time, so I hope theyāll be promoted from NPC race to playable race in the near future.
Iāll be continuing to support them as best as I can!
Thought Iād both reaffirm my interest in this race and put up the recent purchase by Microsoft if folk want to discuss.
Arakkoa for the players!
omg. I just was questing in the Spires of Arak and noticed in an early quest that they mention a book called
Fifty Layers of Shadowā¦
Its a joke based on 50 Shades of Grey of courseā¦
but its in the game. Its canon.
The Arakkoa have erotic sorcery fiction.
I am amused.

Giving my support for playable Arakkoa again!
I do think if we deal with Yrel and the Lightbound in the future, whether they invade us or we have to take them on in AU Draenor, seeing Arakkoa and Saberon playable would make a great combination for such an occasion.
I assume some of the AU Arakkoa would be resisting and trying to fight back against the Lightbound, so we could see some refugees as a result. Maybe some come to our world somehow that could help lead into an invasion of the Lightbound into our world.
Iām not sure what all is going on with the Arakkoa in Outland. Maybe something could be done with them also. Itās something Iād need to look more into sometime.
At least for the AU Arakkoa, it seems like it could be a potentially interesting expansion if this came to be in the future!
I entirely agree.
Bringing them in at that time would be inspired. Saberon for the Horde Arakkoa for the Alliance.
Could be an amazing setup.
Outland Arakkoa could still join up as well. Shadow and Light is a theme concept nowadays.
Shadows Hide You
Looking at the lore background for Saberon and Arakkoa, I feel like making them a pair to join opposite factions is an important key to them. They have a lot of history together of fighting each other, and it would make for some interesting storylines to see how both join their respective factions.
Lots of cool opportunities with storylines and such with this line of thinking!
Support!
Besides Sethrak, Arakkoa are my most wanted race. I really think this game could use some more beast-like races that arenāt mammals. We need some birds, reptiles, and aquatic races!
Arakkoa
Saurok
Sethrak
Ankoan/Jinyu
Kelfin
Would love to see all these races on that character creation screen someday!
I think Arakkoa will have their shot at being playable when the game inevitably addresses the subject of Outland refugees - given that the planet is doomed to slow dissolution. People from Outland will have to go somewhereā¦
You could have the descendant of the Saberon who learned to use nets and spears to take the Arakkoa down be their racial leaderā¦
Maybe have Iskar from the Arakkoa be their leader? Leading a mixed group of High and Cursed Arakkoa?
Thinking on it, I wonder if there would be an option between the two for playable Arakkoa.
Iām sure something could be done with both with customization options, granted I do prefer the high Arakkoa models more. Cursed Arakkoa would need something to replace the High Arakkoaās ability to fly with their wings, of course. Not too sure what they could get to make up for it.
Itās something I need to think on more.
I agree with a toggle between high and cursed.
Perhaps instead of wings they get a shadow gate. Kinda like how dark irons can mole machine.
Just a teleport option to several regions.
Been thinking about the High Arakkoa being able to fly.
How do you think that would work as a racial?
Would it be a temporary flight with a timer?
A glider setup?
Would it function like a mount ala Worgen?
