Unnerf the pre-patch event please

Personally, I am glad they changed it. I remember the event back for Wrath and it wasn’t that great back then. I am actually a little surprised Blizzard was so lazy that they just brought it back to begin with.

Same here. It was my first thought on it. “It’s just lich king event all over again…and these noobs don’t know and are eating it up?”

Nothing wrong with asking for an opt out option. Besides there wasn’t a single thread on the forums about people complaining about the event, at least there wasn’t one that I saw. So I don’t get where people are coming to the conclusion it was the player-base that caused them to make this decision. They just took out a line from Garrosh because of reasons, there’s nothing saying they didn’t do the same for this event.

Kinda sad Blizz has gotten to the point we don’t trust anything they do. We always look at it for hidden motives, ect.

And people like you are why the event was changed which is why I’m so glad it did.

Yeah I was for an opt out option, but I completely disagree with nerfing the event, that’s why I’m scratching my head at this whole thing. In the threads about this event I remember people not wanting to do it ask for an opt out option, not for it to get nerfed.

When it first hit the PTR there were about 20 threads.

complaining about it & asking for it to be nerfed? Or just about the event in general?

Honestly, I think it was more about server stability than any objections to the event.

From what I’ve read on the PTR, the event was stress-testing the servers, something they probably did NOT want happening at the launch of another expansion. (I still remember WoD’s launch…)

While it may be nice for you to complain about the people who didn’t want the event, and while those who didn’t want the event could cheer, it very likely had anything to do with our opinions.

Both I think more people were asking for an opt-out rather than a nerf.

I was looking forward to it because I wasn’t here for the Lich King event, and I enjoyed the chaos on PTR…at least, on max level characters.

That’s why I was hoping they’d give us safe zones and scaling, so that the event could happen without completely disrupting the game for players who weren’t interested, or giving free rein to griefers.

No they didn’t. Blizzard just caters to the loudest.

Its bad enough when griefers from the other side kill quest givers but with this you can grief your OWN faction!

I’m going to kill quest givers everywhere now.

How about no armor damage for a week and respawn timers don’t increase for the duration?

From my experience on the PTR, that would help immensely, too. OMG the stupid rez timer was horrible.

Yeah. My best friend wasn’t around for WOTLK so I was also looking forward to the chance to experience it with them.

I am sincerely sorry that you got flamed. Neither side is a monolith though, and I think that there is room for compromise.

I wanted it to be opt out optional. Now I want the event to be exactly as is. All the people who called us whiners and told us that the event was going to come out as is made me lose all sympathy I could’ve had for people wanting the event. And that was a majority of people. So I have this to say, enjoy the event it’s coming out as is. You don’t need to whine about it
