Arriving from Exile’s Reach was horrible Alliance side; I haven’t done it Horde side yet, but I expect Horde are also dropped at the front gate. Which was zombie central on the PTR because there was also a prepatch quest giver there.
It might be okay on any race that can take a flight path or zep into the capital city. Gates and the portal rooms seemed to be where people were camping.
I believe you collect a currency and purchase recolor armor from BFA that hasn’t been used yet.
People forget or never experienced the best part - you can fly as horde to Stormwind and get infected and cross communicate with the other faction.
Back in LK we went from SW to Org zombifying everything and everyone along the way. It was hysterical and honestly some of the most fun I’ve ever had in this game.
You used to be able to take portals to other major cities. Shattrath was a mess of corpses and zombies.
If people could have fun with the event instead of getting their panties in a bunch it wouldn’t be that bad.
I am blown away by the amount of killjoys in this game.
Who cares if you die a few times trying to sell junk on the AH or sitting AFK in town? It’s a short time event and if you got into it, you actually might have real fun.
Considering the definition of griefing, the fewer chances you have, the better. Because I’m sorry, we are not your content. Period. And Blizzard DOES have rules about griefing.
And the zombie apocalypse is them letting the curtains down.
Or at least, it was.
I created a fresh toon, so I could see how the tutorial island worked. Once you’re done, you’re dropped right outside the gates of the city. One of the quest givers you need, and not just need, but you need to do an escort run with apparently, is just inside the city. IE zombie central.
I never managed to get that part done due to the location. Blizzard didn’t plan around that happening.
I think the WM on would be nice for the event…
Also, guards in main cities near the gate can purge and one shot zombies…( Undead as well…)
Pre-patch events should be the catalyst that makes you ready for the next thing. I say bring back the blood plague.
I like that they’re gloating about ruining an event people were looking forward to. Boring pre-patch. I’m just going to skip it now.
They aren’t wrong though. Do you forget how the Lich King event went? This is pretty much that event all over again.
Sorry, but Blizzard is the one who set the rules on GRIEFING long ago.
We are not your content. Period. I’ve done tabletop gaming. You know what happens when one player decides that his own fun matters more than everyone else’s fun?
Nobody has fun except him. And if the GM is smart, he’ll talk to the person, try and correct their behavior, and if that doesn’t work, they’ll kick their butt out.
Oh, and I’m not reporting you. Because while you’ve been a little jerk, you haven’t violated any forum rules.
And I tolerate a lot of stuff. I just don’t tolerate jerks who think that I’m their content. I’m not, and I will fight against anyone who thinks that is acceptable.
OH, and if you didn’t notice, I never said to gut the event. I said to control the event, so that everyone can have fun and not just the petty people who want to grief and get away with it.

In LARP we kill that fools character. Kinda like the fool who goes crazy in the wild west, they string him up. Same concept.
Exactly. I’ve had to do that, remove players from the game. Because they were being disruptive to everyone’s experience. I didn’t enjoy it. But I did what had to be done. I wanted the event to go live.
Because it had so much potential to be fun. But … it needed changes to deal with the issue of people griefing. There had to be ways to make it enjoyable without griefers ruining it for the rest of us.
Blizzard just took the heavy handed option.
I was there for the lich king event. It got way out of hand lots of griefing, people infecting lowbie zones. I was one of them. It was fun and giggles at the time but as I’m older now i realized doing that in lowbie zones would NOT be fun for the lowbies so much.
Of course they did. It’s easier for them to do so. Blizz seems to be doing that for a lot of things…
Well, nothing we can do now. Blizzard has made their decision. All we can hope is that even if the dailies are boring, that the overall story leading up to launch is engaging.
That’s all we can do now.
That would be a good solution as I hate pvp and avoid pvp at all costs. Just let me be able to opt out so I don’t have to be forced into pvp and then you can have your fun without me.

I remember back when this first announced I asked for it to be warmode only as it would seriously hinder rp.
I was flamed severely.
