In the old world, yes. It’s still fun. (Though not as much.)
In the Dragon isles where we will be spending most of our time, no, because it is now 30% slower than the mount. If they had only nerfed it in content where other races can’t dragonride, that would’ve been one thing. But they also nerfed it where it gives no advantage, but WOULD have allowed Dracthyr a little more of a sense of actually being dragons.
But I would also like to pose some counter questions:
Did people still use conduits when they had conduit energy?
Does that mean that conduit energy wasn’t a bad decision that should’ve been reverted before the game ever went live?
What about AoE abilities? Did people still use those after the cap?
Does that mean the AoE cap was a good decision that shouldn’t have been reverted?
There’s a video blowing up on Twitter showing Soar compared to its prenerf counterpart and its just pathetic. Testers wont even add it to their hotbar now.
None of does abelites are broken compare to soar, they will be able to play other classes in the future. Blizz said it, so they just nerfing it now so its not completely broken.
Thats such a bummer to hear. Really want the unnerfed version because it looked so fun. If it’s been nerfed so badly that people won’t use it. I don’t understand blizzards logic. It’s not that game breaking a racial and pet battle and old content excuses they gave are a giant so what.
Because they lied lol fun detected, fun nerfed. Slowing it down means Dracthyr players will take longer to do old content, meaning they’ll be online longer. Its more crap to milk a subscription just like they did with all the Shadowlands timegating.
“ In the Dragon Isles, all characters of all races are on similar footing in regards to their ability to traverse the terrain because everyone can summon a Dragon Isles Drake. However, this isn’t the case in other areas of the game where flying mounts are the mainstay of travel. In Eastern Kingdoms, Soar is currently over twice as fast as Epic Flying which travels at 410% speed. The result is that Dracthyr have a drastic efficiency advantage over characters of other races when doing non-Dragon Isles content, whether that’s Chromie Time quests, clearing old raids for transmog, pet battling, etc.”
Non-df content, chromie time, old raids for mogs and pet battling…
Let’s dissect:
Non-df content -
Irrelevant and make dragon flying in Azeroth a thing once df launches blizz
Chromie time -
Again irrelevant as Dracthyr start at 58
Old raids for mogs -
Irrelevant as soar doesn’t work and Dracthyr only wear mail….
well you compare other race/class combos to evoker, so i was just commenting on that. If they gave everyone DF flying in old content pretty sure no one would care. But have one class/race fly around faster than everyone is not fair.
