Let’s be honest, Ret Paladin uses 4 rotational buttons and one cooldown through an entire mythic dungeon and is almost always #1 in overall. Consistently powerful from pull to pull with very little to think about.
Unholy has more buttons to press and things to track in their opener than Ret even has in their entire toolkit.
Unholy is situationally good in mythic+ depending on the key, the dungeon and how the tank is pulling. None of those factors hurt Ret.
I don’t play DK’s so I’ll take your word on things.
That being said, they’re not in a bad place for M+ and Raid.
I play Blood DK and Ret just about equally but Unholy is always what I’ve loved the most.
The problem being, these mythics are absurdly difficult to the point where a lot of tanks can’t pull a pack size big enough where Unholy can show its power. Not to mention how mediocre your single target is in AoE spec, unlike Ret.
You can look at logs but they’ll show runs where tanks are pulling 1/4th the dungeon at a time, that is where Unholy does the best but it’s just a lot to track and press to get your damage setup.
Most of the time if I’m running anything above a +6 with a PUG, I’m going to play Ret because I can unload most of my burst in a few seconds then focus on stuff like positioning, kicks, stuns, freedoms, off-heals etc.
Not to mention having damage immunities and shields to drop threat and save myself from death on a big chaotic pull.

They need to fire Ion. This game is in garbage state. Bugs everywhere, cheating in rated an d normal bgs, Mythic + busted and garbage, capped for everything everywhere and balance is garbage. Alright just played quite a few solo bgs and solo shuffle. The nerf is noticeable, but im still able to sit top dmg or close to top. I think were going to be ok fellas. For now atleast

I already worked that out, he keeps following my posts and replying, but I worked it out soon after, I think that some people have mental problems, we dont know enough about mental issues like autism or personality disorders to understand people like him, but I dont follow forum drama so was unaware, it look me like 5 posts to see it, until I see facts from him, I will continue to ignore him thank you. <3
