The fact they didnât announce the change and only addressed it when the community complained, in my opinion, means one of two things:

Blizzard are in such shambles that a change this big can make it into the Live environment without having Patch Notes

Blizzard is so disconnected from their community that they didnât think this was worth announcing
Either way, itâs very worrying.

Given the deafening outcry of anger, frustration, and unilateral hatred for blizzardâs decision to merge Oceanic with the USA, at this point if they refuse to revert the change in its entirety by tomorrow then we will know that this change was undisputedly driven by their intention to reduce server upkeep costs at the cost of player experience and quality of gameplay; rather then the values which they claimed drove it and espoused to support.

How can they mess this launch up so badly? Who is pulling the strings on this, itâs absurd to see them try so hard to sink this shipâŚ
- They knew it was such a horrible, unwanted and unwarranted change - at least until data from season 1 was available - that it could never be discussed or announced publicly so as not to hurt profit from tbc boosts, subscriptions and deluxe editions and they consciously kept a lid on it until surprise implementation⌠banking on players being too hooked or lazy to do anything about it.

I just donât understand why Blizzard makes changes NO ONE WANTS and thinks that we want them. Itâs continues to baffle me.
I doubt anyone at Blizzard actually plays the game so they probably donât even have a clue how terrible PvP is with lag.

The OCE doesnât want to play with the US, and the US doesnât want to play with OCE. Blizzard goes and merge them. Screw you, now i have double the bots in my games.

Literally everyday I am less and less excited for the game, because Blizzard keeps doing changes that nobody asked for. While releasing bullcrap money grabs in the game. The game we wanted, because there were no money grabs in it. . So far youâre doing amazing job at alienating your dedicated fans.

At this point its kind of hilarious that not only have they not reverted this absolutely terrible change, but that they are yet to acknowledge the literal thousands of angry oceanicâs who have flooded the forums yesterday⌠and that was on a friday workday⌠Its 6:45am on a saturday in australia right now⌠get ready for far more then before in the coming hours as many people who dont actively monitor WoW news actually get a chance to experience the absolutely game breaking lag forced upon us first hand.

OCE was fine and we were excited to finally have TBC arenas for the first time with PROPER ping. This is literally unsub worthy as youâve essentially made a whole portion of TBC not worth engaging in.

I actually cant believe this suggestion/decision was even heard let alone listened to within the team, to actually intentionally reduce the quality of their product for an entire region, and what is even more ridiculous is they implemented it and didnt even announce it, did they think we wouldnt notice them literally making pvp unplayable for any oceanic player?
