Bad idea. This has been talked about at length in the threads that have already been linked. Your dismissive attitude doesnāt give your āargumentā any more weight no matter how much you think it does.
The whole āItās for the long-term health of the gameā schtick has also been addressed and you choose to ignore it. Again, this adds no weight to your āargumentā.

Just because classic is going to die eventually has absolutely nothing to do with having classic items cross over to retail.

Not gonna completely deny your idea, but I personally donāt want people playing classic who feel forced to.
Golden guns in OW competitive is a good example of why this only dilutes and deteriorates the integrity of the gameplay.
Classic dying off sounds scary, but Iām optimistic. Server mergers are ideal to me (especially over sharding,) but hopefully that isnāt necessary for a long while.

So like my defias armor that was made available? Or my scarlet crusade set or my blood knight tabard? Those were all made easily available. At least my suggestion still makes many of those coveted items hard to obtain.

I have never cared about golden guns. If people want to grind hell for a cosmetic they can earn then be my guest. And Server merging is something that would kill the community
