Legion is well beloved, and I know this has been brought up by a bunch of people, but it must be said: Artifact weapons should be fully obtainable.
Timewalking already shows that you CAN make old content difficult, fun, and challenging. There really isn’t a reason why someone shouldn’t be able to complete their artifact if the challenge is there.
Time wise, not everyone played Legion, and I think that shouldn’t be a gatekeeping requirement. I feel like if someone is capable of doing the challenges at the same difficulty, then someone should be able to get it.

We pay to play the game you know. You are making it sound like we play at the grace of Blizzard, and so must be grateful for whatever moldy bread they throw in the mud for us.

It’s no more selfish than saying I don’t want anybody else to be able to play with my toys simply because they didn’t get them when they were new.
Especially if they use the same stuff they have in timewalking to keep the content just as challenging as it was back in the day.

Well my point was that both sides are inherently selfish in this debate about if they should add back no longer available cosmetics in general.
but why not?
I’m not suggesting that they just mail everybody all the cosmetics upon logging in. They have mechanics they can and have been using to keep rare items rare beyond their relevant expansion.
I’ve been playing since 2004, so I’ve seen plenty of things that I earned be re-added to the game later for people to be able to obtain. It’s really not that big of a deal.
My ZG Raptor isn’t less awesome just because a few people can buy one off the BMAH.

New and returning players are often disheartened to learn that they can never, ever get the sparkle kitty Druid forms or other appearances.
Do new and returning players not deserve to have the chance to earn appearances that are still in the game files, just because reasons and older players want to few special? Who is being selfish here?
FOMO needs to GTFO.

blizzard has already given their stance on the challenge mode artifact situation.
they agreed to bring back the mage tower as it was, but they don’t agree that the artifact appearances should be brought back. you got cool recolors of tier sets and a spell tome mount. get over it.

Why are new and returning players being selfish in wanting to earn unique rewards? Does it actually hurt the veteran players, who are not even likely to know when some rando in Oribos got their sparkle kitty?
Why would new and returning players want to play WoW (again) if they are permanently locked out of rewards?
WoW is getting more and more elitist as time goes on, and the game’s reputation is not helping its growth and recovery if the only players being catered to are the ones who would never quit to begin with.

LOL, most challenges are overtuned and in some cases the mechanics have even been altered.
so instead of trying to get good at the game to win the encounter, you’re here complaining

All Legion artifacts are available through short questlines that are still available.

I did most of the original Legion ones, and most of the new Timewalking ones as well.
So I’m not complaining that the new Timewalking challenges be nerfed for my sake, because I already did the ones I wanted to.
I’m also not complaining for the old Legion appearances to be brought back for my sake, either, because I already got the appearances that I set out to get.
I just don’t agree with FOMO rewards for not only weapons but also the Druid customizations.
And I don’t agree with the poor tuning and poor dev communication that we experienced with the Timewalking MTs.
