I get you. But at the same time, it’s hard to deny the hypocrisy here. Let’s be honest with ourselves. The only reason why these limited time FOMO cosmetics exist is for marketing. It’s not for individuals to display their worth to anyone else. It’s purely a marketing tactic known as “manufactured scarcity”.
There is a reason why one can still obtain the original legandaries from vanilla onwards.
Sure you can’t get the AQ mount anymore but that was a very niche reward to only a select bunch of people that fit with the narrative (note how there were people who cheesed it on dead servers after the event). There is no narrative that explains why we can’t still get the OG mage tower mogs or the mop Lego cloak.
As for the OG corrupted Ashbringer, that was deleted simply because it got cought up in the great Cata purge. Less to do with FOMO and more to do with incompetent Devs. I don’t remember what happened to the OG Anethema. Probably a similar Cata deletion? Much like the tier 6 wod mogs that only got deleted due to coding issues.

Not everyone was playing when they were available. It would be nice if they were still able to be ‘earned’.

Another thing I forgot to bring up is, the MT artifact weapon appearances are still some of the most beautiful, colorful, unique, or iconic weapon appearances ever added to the game, even today after BfA and SL came out.
Colorful, intricate weapon appearances shouldn’t just be a reward for players who played during Legion. It’s a waste of dev resources as well as player enjoyment to keep these appearances unobtainable.
i’ve seen how people “earn” CE mounts.
