I knew you would be the first to post. I am kinda busy so I will have to deal with you later.

Actually kind of bummed it’s not in Westfall or Loch Modan or something. Stormwind seems so… safe?

But the Hearthstone team rarely disappoints with their cinematics! I really gotta get back into HS.

There, now the people who were complaining about the Barrens expansion can be satisfied.

*Lol they won’t

The Barrens one was a lot better in my opinion, this one was… lacking? Still better than SL.

The Hearsthone team seems a lot better in touch with WoW (in their own way) than WoW’s developers and writers.
Even though the last time I played HS was during Rastakhans rumble.

I don’t actually play HS, I just remember complaining that the Barrens set was too Horde focused.

Indeed. It shows what the Alliance is for Blizzard. Stormwind and the humans (+ Anduin).

The Horde got the Barrens, perfect for at least the Kalimdor Horde and adventures. The Alliance should have gotten at least Westfall or something else yes.

Where have I seen something like this before…

So perfect. That’s how I feel about Stormwind. Well what Blizzard want’s us to see.

Meaning that unfortunately, they haven’t learned a damned thing and nothing has changed.

To be fair, there’s no real analogue to the Barrens for the Alliance IMO. Westfall is the closest thing, but Stormwind is probably more iconic.

I think the locale is less of an issue so much as is the flagrant parade about how much they want to see the Alliance as a unified thing that may be reduced down to Stormwind. It’s the in-your-face nature of it that rubs me the wrong way.

The barrens? Okay, that’s a place - it’s a hard place, and that fits the theme of “forged in the Barrens”. Okay, cool - but this is saying something entirely more definitive about the faction identity.

Adventures in Stormwind, like the prisoner revolt and other things could have helped, to push the adventure angle.

The point was this was a more lighthearted/friendlier place then the harshness of the Barrens. That the people of Stormwind are generally friendly folk. It is not like it was devoid of it considering they showed Onyxia kicking around.

You’ll have to forgive me if I don’t share the lightheartedness towards an aggressive, conformist theme that has directly translated into repeated destruction and dissolution of the concept that I wanted to play.

They’re really taking the piss here.

Those cheeky Hearthstone devs.

And that’s pretty funny considering that the actual humans of Stormwind have barely any meaningful lore which is not connected to the Wrynns.

Which is an interesting paradox, and I wouldn’t interpret criticism as a claim that humans don’t deserve interesting lore. To the contrary, I think this unity stuff robs Humanity of its ability to have a unique portrayal.
