disagree with you = i’m bad
Agree with you = i’m still bad
I’ll fight the actual fight while you cosplay I guess. Re-add everything and I demand the ability to faceroll it. Death to fun!

You get one more response because obviously somebody needs to say this. I don’t care if I the challenge is that I have to roll around in broken beer bottles and rusty nails covered in fire ants while covered in honey over a live grill. Any challenge is acceptable.
I have physically drowned more people in world PVP than some players have slain people in actual PVP. If you think my opinion on being allowed even just the opportunity to test ourselves for the rewards we desire is unfair, then we disagree on a fundamental level.
It’s not unfair it’s more unrealistic. You even said yourself you played during legion, didn’t bother looking up if the mage tower was permanent, ignored it expecting to just go nuke it the following xpac. Sitting here acting like that’s not a personal skill issue is a huge red flag, but then trying to use the “I just want others to get the ability to earn them” argument makes you fundamentally disingenuous because you’re trying to obfuscate your actual intentions by using newbies as a decoy.
all or nothing. Make your choice
You should really play Classic Mop then, you can get the cloaks and CM sets right now - they’ll probably eventually even transfer to retail in a few years (though nothing has been announced yet)
When Classic WoD comes out they’ll have the WoD sets too.
We need classic rewards to just go ahead and merge already.
I’m not trying to start an argument, and I’m certainly not taking an L, you’re taking one from Blizzard and thanking them for it. You don’t even see that you’re being manipulated by design.
What, like farming the stuff you skipped when it was actually challenging? Or grinding gear for the content you’re planning to skip anyway?
Those “rare” items are only rare because Blizzard designed them that way it’s intentional scarcity to make players feel like they have to stay engaged. Look at it from another angle: it’s basically the in-game version of putting an “out of stock” tag on a Blizzard shop item.
Encouraging players to try new content is fine when it’s not because people are being pressured into it. There’s a big difference between making something engaging and forcing engagement through FOMO.
If Blizzard has to dangle a time-limited carrot just to get people to play it, that’s not good design.
There’s a reason developers (including Blizzard) are starting to move away from it.
So yes “coercing” (lol) into trying things outside their comfort zone isn’t a good thing in most cases.
I did and holy god did it bore me to tears. Got the 3 sets I like and honestly couldn’t care less if they get nuked when the classic servers go bye-bye.
They won’t but I’m okay with people dreaming they will.
Dream on.
This is some tin foil hat level stuff now. Holy hell. You really should speak to someone about this.
So exactly what I said? Keeping people engaged with content when its current?
Good
No ones pressured to do anything.
No ones forced to do anything. You play this game by choice.
Yet they’re the bggest MMO still. Legion was one of their most subbed xpacs. Clearly people disagree
Live service games are filled with limited stuff. Everywhere. Some of the biggest games on the planet have time limited stuff.
I laughed at this because I know exactly what you mean about drowning people. There’s certain areas in the world that are so much fun for world PvP, me and my friends used to start big 10v10s on the flying ships in Deepholm and grip/knock people off the edge or as a Druid jump off the edge switch to flight form and throw on some HoTs before flying back up to do it all over again.
I will ![]()
Neither you nor I knows what Blizzard will do in the future.
Congrats on your sets, and hey, I get that. If you have a better transmog set, why bother changing outfits?
That being said, I hope people can keep the rewards they earn. And also - that the classic servers don’t go away: It’s a neat concept. Now that I appreciate old content more, I like the idea of trying classic out - even if I was originally anti-classic.
I wonder how many of the 2027 console players would be interested in WoW’s history/legacy-content. Regardless, I’m excited for our future ![]()
Honestly, it’s so much fun that we get those kinds of options! Wouldn’t you know, an MMO is a great place to team up for shenanigans like this. Another personal favorite is using cyclone to push people off of high places. Speaking of Legion, Stormheim was amazing for this.
Edit: It needs to be said that YEET was at its cultural height when this was happening.
Huh?
What skin are you referring to, and what achievement is in question?
I completed the Druid campaign, so I should be able to get the natures fury and stone paw skin. However when I go to the barber shop to change it, it’s still locked
You do have the opportunity to test yourself in the current MT, which is a facsimile of the original. It captures the essence of the original. You don’t get access to the original rewards because it’s not a 1:1 recreation of the original. It’s really as simple as that.
Except your entire argument stems from this idea that Blizzard is “inconsistent”. They’re not, you just fail at nuance lol.
Calling out dumb arguments is adding things of substance. It may hurt your feelings, but no one has an obligation to treat you with kitty gloves rofl.
No one is being misrepresented. You are over the age of 30 and are crying about weapon skins. This is just a fact.
Except, as has been stated to you multiple times now, you can’t separate the reward from the content. These things are inseparable. Again, you wouldn’t know this because your highest form of content are world quests. Please, read a book for god’s sake lol.
Denial usually is the first sign of addiction.
Generally, “tin-foil” theories aren’t supported by numerous behavioral studies on FOMO in video games.
The gameplay experience should do this, not the reward.
You are, and you’ve admitted this by saying you won’t do it unless you’ve been “coerced” by a “rare” reward.
True, you play the game by choice, but how you play it is heavily shaped by Blizzard’s systems. Just because it’s technically optional doesn’t mean you aren’t being pressured or manipulated by systems designed to exploit your fear of missing out on rewards.
Popularity does not mean perfection.
Take religion for example, Christianity and Islam have billions of followers yet both have their flaws.
And a lot of them are moving away from it.
That’s why you see disclaimers on Battlepasses now that have wording along the lines of “*these items will reappear in the shop at a later time”
Also keep in mind that there are 2 types of time limited rewards.
I have no problem with time limited rewards that return at a later date.
It’s a little bit too easy at least right now, I’ve beat it twice this week to test something and today I was able to do it very lazily using the 1 button rotation thing blizzard added.
Youre trying to a claim people that enjoy time limited rewards are being manipulated.
Seriously, seek help.
The reward is part of that gameplay experience.
Thats the entire point of designing a game. You play what they designed. Holy hell you’ve lost the plot ![]()
I do these things because I want the rare reward. No one told me to do anything. These were my choices
Popularity means more people are satisfied.
And a lot of them arent.
They should make it punishing then, and offer the rewards anew. If it weren’t the same, then it being harder should make it fair.
It literally has different rewards to reflect the fact that it doesn’t reflect the original. They aren’t replicating it outside Classic. Will you be satisfied if you get it in Classic Legion?
They are inconsistent, they know they’re inconsistent and they’ve acknowledged that they’ve been inconsistent in multiple interviews and Q&A’s
Insisting that an argument is “dumb” does not make it so. Denying the truth of a valid point does not change the facts, which is why your counterclaims consistently fail and I’ve been able to rebut them each and every time using reasoning and logic rather than just dismissing them as “dumb”.
If you want to add substance you could prove your claim that my arguments are dumb but I’d imagine this might be difficult for you as my arguments are logically sound.
You say this before immediately misrepresenting me, again
Can you prove I’m over 30?
Can you prove that I’ve been “crying”?
I’m not sure how facts work for you, but generally I require evidence before I consider something a fact.
These sound more like assumptions or inferences rather than verifiable facts but I guess that’s kind of your thing, isn’t it?
This wasn’t my claim, you’ve missed the point, again. Either address my point or concede you don’t have one
This is pretty fair, I’m an average at best WoW player my highest achievement is top 3-0.5% quite a few years back which I am fairly proud of given I consider myself to be pretty average. I also own quite a few unobtainable items, though I couldn’t tell you what most of them are because I don’t care about them, I just use the mounts/transmogs I like and I think everyone should be able to do that too.
More assumptions. (This one in particular made me laugh)
