I totally get it, Druid was my very first main but I switch to hunter in MoP when I got more interested in PvP, back in legion I only really had time to work on 1 character which was my hunter, I tried to squeeze in Demon hunter too because it was the new thing, by the time I realised mage tower was going away it was way too late for me and honestly I assumed they’d bring them back eventually given that Legion was basically devoid of weapon appearances outside of the artifact system. Thinking back I also might’ve been under the impression that the mage tower just awarded 1 recolour for each appearance rather than all colours for 1 appearance. I’ve been pretty burnt out from WoW for a while now and thought maybe I’ll go back to my Druid as it gives me access to 3 roles, 4 classes and 4 playstyles (ranged/melee dps)
But I have this thought that it can’t be my main if I can’t get all the forms for it. So I just stick with working on my hunter that doesn’t have that problem. It might be silly to some people but it just kinda makes me think I have a Temu Druid.

I understand your feeling like there’s something missing from the class when unable to progress all of the experiences and appearances. I mean it’s different if it were a sword, but it does feel like missing out on being “whole” in some way.
You know what is so crazy in hindsight, is that the cape I was talking about (and I remember being a huge point of contention) did come back, and it was such a huge deal. Every MT conversation I had resulted in talk about the cape from Timeless Isle. I can’t believe that I’m still here asking when the very thing used to justify my dismissal was brought back with such fanfare.
We do live in an era of rampant misinformation with the proliferation of AI, where mistrust and dismissal have become a default for so many of us. I’m so used to being dismissed online that somebody actually saying, “hey they have been consistent even if I can’t vouch for them” means so much. I was genuinely upset last night. The post you linked was likely the only public post I have ever made on this website outside of thread responses.
Even if we didn’t earn it, we got a couple days with the cat. We got screenshots. We got memes with circles of sparkle cats menacingly surrounding a bear on all sides. Even if it doesn’t come back, at least we’re not alone.

Speaking of getting to use it for a short period of time and the legendary cloak I have thought that maybe a way blizzard could bring them back without actually bringing them back could be through “Toys” that activate a corresponding form that persists for ‘X’ minutes/hours on a ‘Y’ minutes/hours cooldown or something like that where we at least have temporary usage of them like they did with the legendary cloak effects or the Night Fae forms.
A lot of us already using toys to enhance the way our Forms look and it would give the people that care about exclusivity what they want and it’s better than nothing.

For a very long time, the only way to get firelands firecat was by hoarding seeds which produced a limited time effect. I won’t say that it would be the ideal response for me personally, but it would be a compromise which would allow us to use what we’re missing.

Theres nothing manipulative about any of this. People like earning rare rewards they can show off later down the line. They’ll do stuff out of their comfort zone for it. Thats called good content that keeps a live service game interesting.
Yeah I know how you feel, as far as I’m concerned the forms should never have been attached to time limited items in the first place, it was a really shortsighted decision to do it that way and I will die on that hill. But I’m kinda just at the point where something is better than feeling like we’re being completely ignored by Blizzard.

You openly admitted that given the opportunity you’d rather wait and do it when it’s easier than do it while it’s challenging.
When rewards aren’t time limited everyone has the option of doing something outside their comfort zone but when it is time limited their only options are to miss out on it or go outside their comfort zone.

They wouldn’t be able to without adding back every other unobtainable item.
This crowd is crying for artifacts now, but if they ever returned it’d just shift to another thing.
That’s a slippery slope. The two can exist side by side, but this specific instance is different considering the circumstances of the class it means to benefit. I don’t care that cape or Amani bear are gone-gone, but that doesn’t mean that I will use my Teldrassil Hippogryph for brownie points or even that cape coming back wasn’t even more contentious than this.
There is zero difference. It’s an all or none argument as the majority who you’ll be angering by re-adding the items will push for other things to return.
If you care that the artifact apperances are gone then I care that the mop cape, CM for mop + wod, old elite sets, old glad mounts, naxx40 items, and other uncut items aren’t returned to the game.
No being disingenuous and cherry picking certain things. It’s all or nothing if you actually cared for the cause you’re pushing.

Yes, i’d rather wait to farm the mount when its easier, because the mount is worthless in terms of rarity.
I do the challenges for a rare reward at the end. No rare reward at the end means ill spend my time doing something more productive. Not sure how this is hard to understand.
I leveled all the classes I wanted MT on for the reason that the rewards were rare and time limited. This kept me engaged with the xpac when it was current. Thus, the MT’s did their job.
Which is a good thing? Are you implying that coercing people into trying new content is a bad thing?
I do actually care, but only about this specific cause because I view Blizzard’s response to this in contrast to cape to be unjustifiable. That I think you may not understand, but I have always felt that I see the forest for the forest. I won’t dice hairs about content categories, this is about what’s obviously popular and realistic.
If the challenge is so hard, why can’t prove our worth? If it’s so special, then why are there so many players who have it? If it’s so important that it’s exclusive, then why are so many players who own the skin in support of its return?
It’s a game, gosh darn it all! Let us take the trial and prove our salt for an reward we honestly deserve for having achieved victory. This isn’t buying Amazon in 1999…

I earned this but I want them to let me earn items I never did. I’m fully with the cause now. Re-release naxx40, Give me the ability to get atiesh, Re-introduce mop and WoD CM sets for me to steamroll, Re-add scarab lord questline, and re-add old prestigious pvp rewards.
