I was doing the unholy infusion quest on heroic 25m in ice crown and i was in the abomination while fighting professor putricide. I got my energy bar to 100% by eating his slime then i used the shadowmourne button and i had the buff on. i killed him but did not get credit for the quest. Any help with this would be appreciated. I submitted a bug ticket in game.

The only advice would be to try it again nex week and go slower a gm woukdnt be able tostep in and help infortunately.

Sorry, Bonehed, but we aren’t able to verify that you met the conditions at the time. We can’t see if Shadow’s Edge was equipped and that it was infused with Unholy power. So we’re unable to complete the quest for you.
Submitting a bug report is your best option so our QA team can take a look. In the end, the only other recommendation we can give is to try again. Good luck!

Vrathkis, thanks for replying. I did not do it on Bonehed. I did it on Lemminkainen-zangarmarsh. Hopefully that will help. I did have it equipped and I was in the abom eating slime. When the meter got to 100% i clicked the shadowmourne button and got the buff. I then kerchoppa’d Putridice.
P.S. I didnt even realize the forum had me post under a toon I never use.
Problem is Vrakthris said they could not verify you completed the requirements. That being said there is nothing they can do. Best you post the details in the bug report forum and let QA review things. FYI they will not reply unless they need more info.

Just to check, you were for sure on 25 man? That raid has been known to bug out from time to time and not be in the mode you think it should be/looks like from the entrance portal. When you enter you’ll get the text in chat that says what mode it is in.

I’m aware of who you did it on, Bonehed, I’m afraid that isn’t the issue.
In order to assist in these kinds of things we must be first, given permission to by our Game Developers. Meaning there must be a verified issue that has been documented by our QA team that is preventing the quest from being completed.
We also must be able to verify that the conditions were met, but that you could not complete it because of this issue.
For the first, as far as I know there isn’t a known issue with the quest. It is why we encourage reporting potential bugs so that our QA team can investigate those reports and verify what might be happening.
For the second, we simply do not have the ability to tell what weapon you may have had equipped at the time, nor if you had the buff and otherwise fulfilled the criteria. It just isn’t something that the logs that Game Masters have available to them can tell. Sorry.

Yes, I was on 25M. I verified it by checking in the upper right corner and by right clicking my avatar and seeing what I had it set for .
Well, ICC doesn’t have a Mythic setting, so you weren’t in that.
I have heard reports that if you enter a legacy raid (which has no Mythic difficulty) with your UI set to Mythic, you get 10 Normal. But that alone shouldn’t matter, AFAIK.
(It just occurs to me you may have meant “25 Man”, unspecified difficulty. In which case, disregard info about Mythic.)
It’s a mystery, but from reading descriptions it seems it’s pretty fidgety now.

About all you can do is submit a bug report and try again next week. Not much else can be done.

Thank for explaining it further. I was unsure if you meant you could not verify because I posted under the wrong toon or not. Now that I have a better understanding of how this particular thing works I can make sure to word things differently in the future. Much appreciated.

Jusr rember that were vastly superior to the encounters so slow things down dps too fast can break things.

You most likely did not have shadows edge equipped or unequipped it during the fight.
