So it seems that dracthyr aren’t actually learning from mortals but instead already had those classes in their ranks BEFORE they were put in stasis.
So for the remaining classes, can it work?
Of course it can…
Monks: There could have been a group of Dracs taken out of stasis to spy in the pandaren after their revolution 2k years before the war of the ancients and learned how to be monks
Druid: Druidism was definitely around before the sundering…
Shaman: same thing ^
Paladin: well dracthyr learned to be priests so they could have easily formed a group of paladins combining the powers of a priest and warrior same as the silver hand did. Their faith would have been through neltharion, the titans, Tyr or all three.
So there you go…
I don’t wanna hear anyone tell me how any of that doesn’t work without a substantial reason
Because if we’re gonna be honest, if anything doesn’t work its warlock.
There was no heavy mass exposure with fel or demons before the sundering, so dracs somehow getting the knowledge to train as locks is a bit of a stretch…
So if they can make it work for them, they can make it work for the missing 4.
DK and DH is a different monster.
DH will prob get more races in TLT when illidan returns
DK, I had an idea where any new race could be a DK through the time walkers. Perhaps they went through an expedition into wrath era. They die and then get rezed into a DK. Then chromie brings them back to the present after lights hope scenario.
The argent npc they kill could be their timewalker partner that got captured.
Just be patient, I’m sure once the assets are done they’ll release them in a future patch

Classes like Druids, Shamans, Paladins all have unique assets. Those should eventually be made.
It’s only a matter of time until we have all/class.
lmao.
That’s fine, I just wish they would confirm it

Know what shaman, paladin, and monk have in common? Unique animations and models that take more time to develop.
Yay now we’ll have a retcon for people to authoritatively use as “lore proof” for their desired changes.
The lore not backing you up? Give it a week and it will.

They will let anybody be a Rogue these days…/sigh

It didn’t need to be like that. Would have made more sense to have them learn in the present to be those classes.
It’s a weird direction
Actually, it was stated at the beginning of DF in the Evoker starter zone that the Evoker class was a ‘best of the best’ sort of thing.
This implied strongly that there were other types of Dracthyr, just not available to the players.
So in this case at least, it is not a retcon, it was there all along.
Eh, race/class lore stopped meaning anything when they let Draenei be Warlocks, so whatever

Many wrongs does not suddenly turn into a right.
Stacking bad on top of bad does not make a pile of good.

This is true. But it would have been easier for certain classes for the drac to learn in the present.
Especially for future classes
I used to think that too
Then the devs made Draenei able to be Warlocks
The problem is now ur messing with player agency…
“Why can you play with a lore stretchy race combo but I can’t?”

Because “No” is a perfectly acceptable answer that people need to get more comfortable hearing.
Sorry I want them to be Evoker only.
That’s not good enough in this case and perfectly reasonable for players to be upset about it
More “no” from Blizzard would be the best thing they can do for the health of this game.
For other things sure…
Not for race class combos.
You can’t make draenie, LFD, and maghar locks and then get mad at players for wanting velf and undead paladins or goblin and mech gnome druids
Kinda late to say this don’t you think?
I don’t have any locks of those races but even if I did…
I could still be against this. It may be hypocritical but I could.
None of this is about “fairness to other players” so we shouldn’t try to argue it like that. This is about people getting what they want. Not about fairness by any stretch of the imagination.
