This is cool and all, but can you please get the Dev team to look into the phasing issues in the Emerald Dream, or are you hoping that my making an event like this, we will forget about all the current phasing issues that need to be addressed before season 4 drops and will cause all kinds of problems for the open world events that will be required for the weekly.
Also, you know what would make this event even better, open up more race and class combos so we have something new to level.
That’s what I asked! This “event” is literally the same as leveling a character via Chromie Time and picking Mists as the expansion. The whole thing is so low effort it’s laughable.
You explained personal experiences, which can’t be argued, but I’m saying in general that if people don’t like retail, and they don’t have another mode they can go to, they’ll just quit and the player base is split.
Whether or not they quit or go to another game made is irrelevant.
Eh, I take all those complaints with a grain of salt. I did the grind to 40 and sure, one or two people in the lobby is complaining but the other 57 people are running around goofing off.
And we know the forums are a terrible sample. The people that dislike PS come here to complain but the people that love it won’t do that.
I hated Plunderstorm and I love this. I ALWAYS level a few alts during end-of-expansion content drought. Blizz is just taking that tendency and DOING SOMETHING NEW with it rather than just adding a “winds of whatever” experience buff. It’s awesome.
So the article on Wowhead says they’re giving us another slot but when you click on the article that takes you to the official page, that wording is gone.
you mean more way to split the playerbase, right? because that’s exactly what this is doing.
I mean, they’re re-releasing the entire game at this point for fudge sake. I have never seen a company do this before…at this point we’re literally going to get a friggin CLASSIC SHADOWLANDS… wrap your brain around that for a moment.
This is beyond dumb. Now we have Classic, we have Classic WOTLK, we have retail, we have stand alone modes within retail, we have classic “hardcore”, etc. etc.
it’s getting really silly where the whole perpetual part of an MMO is starting to get diluted…
I’m not super excited by another mode that will take me away from the server, character and accumulated stuff that I enjoy playing with, nor am I really jazzed at the thought that getting a lot of the cool stuff is probably going to involve dungeons and raids - are these going to be LFR, or manual groups? If it’s the latter that’s ALL the wind out of my sails.
Nor am I jazzed about likely having to burn myself to a nub doing this enough to unlock all the stuff across all armor types in a limited-time mode.
To be fair, I’ve never seen another MMORPG go for twenty actual years with continuous updates and new content. We’ve been in uncharted territory for a long time now.
