Yes, yes, and all the yes. This is what I’ve been asking for for awhile. This is essentially what I was asking for in this thread with a curated way for players (new and old alike) to experience previous expansions.
This should NOT go away. This should be available for ALL players present and future to experience. Blizzard needs to slowly add all expansions to this mode and keep it updated for current content.
This idea sounds amazing hopefully its well fleshed out 
An update and game improvement for Live / Retail? Focus on Retail and not some niche “classic” server? What madness is this? They chose MoP for this?! I must be dreaming, dying or something. This is cool. Wish they would add the same modes for all expansions, and the Classic Game world we lost thanks to Cata.
MoP classic is still gonna happen it just makes sense. This event will be limited time. They’re rushing cataclysm classic content and be done with it by January 2025, they confirmed it on Twitter
It’s a game that relies on subscriptions. The old way of keeping people subscribed was time-locking story content and other events, and I think they are looking for new ways to keep people subscribed that don’t annoy the players as much. If this works, blizzard could give players a new reason to keep playing every few months and start building up the subscription base again.

Here is a nice experience for those who have never played MoP to play it. For those who have never played MoP WITH OTHER PEOPLE (since leveling in MoP right now is quite likely a solo experience).
Playing the raids with toons that won’t one shot the bosses.
Its a great opportunity for both old folks who might want to go back and new folks who’ve never been at all.
Lmao, it’s not new things it’s literally old things. What are they trying to do exactly besides keeping subscriptions alive with the lowest amount of effort possible? I’d have preferred an event where I can use my actual main character instead of having to create a new, separate character.
By the sound of it, this is an accelerated type of “MoP Classic” of sorts with a couple extra features where we can later move the character to retail. I like it better than Plunderstorm, but I’d definitely have liked the event to be less separate from the regular game.
That’s exactly what they are trying to do, and I don’t see a problem with it. It’s not like they aren’t developing new expansions, they are just looking to create more ever-green content to keep players occupied while they finish expansions and patch content.
So the new versions of items don’t exist, right?
Even the ones that have been shown, which are new, just aren’t new right?

Right, exactly. I made that point in another reply. This is fine for people who never experienced it but I did and so it holds no interest for me. I just want something that I too can do that’s actually new and that’s what I am advocating for. There is nothing wrong with trying to look out for your own interests and advocating for change than benefits you. I am not trying to take enjoyment away from other people, I just want something that I can also enjoy and this just isn’t it.
Sounds like a time-out zone until you’re maxed. I think I’m probably the perfect target audience for this. Maybe now I’ll finally lvl a toon to max for the first time ever.
Plunderstorm for PvP.
Pandamonium for PvE.
Whatever they’re planning, it looks like they’re trying to spilt up the players.
