Undead don’t burn (except for spells intended to burn things, obviously) so much as the light restores their senses, which isn’t a pleasant experience when you’re a rotting corpse.
Better corpse hygiene and\or ignoring the pain because you’re Just That Dedicated™ would solve the problem just fine.

You know there was a time when i used to care about the lore of this game, and would go into how/why this is not actually a possible thing and that exceptions to the rule do not justify the rule being broken.
But with how crap the lore of this setting and game have become post BFA, go for it, do you fam why not.

just a reminder: we already canonically have undead paladins, such as Leonid Barthalomew. blizzard has also stated that they want to make every (basic) class available to every race.

I’ll never understand why people want undead paladins. The light is anti-undead. Paladins are infused with the light. It doesn’t make sense.

Priests do it just fine.
Besides if the light was going to vaporize them it would have happened back on Argus when we were constantly using light-based teleporters.
Leonid is a warrior. He just happens to be a member of the Argent Dawn.
There are plenty of other undead paladins though, like the undead Scarlets in the Eastern Plaguelands and the fel powered ghost paladin in the Legion order hall.
