AT the risk of being an Uncle SHam. Our class is incredibly broken. Even if we want equality of factions just nerfing shamans isnt enough. We need horde paladins and alliance shamans. This would alleviate a lot of alliance pve woes and some minor horde ones like raid wide blessings.
If you are going to put the work into p4, do some actual dev work and make dwarf shamans and undead paladins.
This game needs a class blind approach to factions.

They would soon make it where you can group up with the opposite faction for pve, just like retail.
But, I really want them to give alliance Shamans and make it so they are instantly lv50 with all runes active.
Dwarf Shaman And Tauren Pally! Lets do it! So the alliance can stop CRYING

Tauren pally is cringe, my vote is undead 100%.
imagine they put undead paladin in SoD before it ever makes it to retail

We should build a wall, and make the shamans pay for it
The shamans are already making the alliance pay for it. I don’t think you are selling them anything. I’m just trying to offer an olive branch.

I’m just trolling. I’d be shocked if we don’t end up with horde getting paladins and alliance getting shamans at some point.
They’ve already been kind of teasing this with the tauren paladin walking around tauren mill for a pally rune (hammer of the righteous iirc?)
yeah I think he shows up in another quest too, but yeah he is there for HotR, he has devo aura on and a 2h bonk mallet.
I’ve always thought tauren paladin was a stupid choice for horde to get though, should be undead. If they can still maintain their connection to the light as a holy priest, they could have just been a human paladin that died and maintained their connection to the light.

At this point I think race doesn’t matter… hell they can get gnome shamans for all I care. But balance must be restored.

Undead makes sense because some will inevitably be paladins that were killed/scourged. But will they still be connected to the light after?
Tauren makes sense in the sense that they’re naturally a lot more in tune with the light (albeit in the nature sense). It never really made a lot of sense for tauren to be part of the horde to begin with. They were fighting with the trolls for a while, and seemingly only joined out of a mutual hatred for centaurs (I suspect this was shoehorned in for faction balance)
I think lore wise, undead are pained by channeling the light, but there’s that undead dude Alfonso Ribiera (fun fact he also played Carlton) as part of the Argent Dawn, there are undead holy priests, and even though shadowlands was garbanzo, Calia Menethil is kinda cool, she maintains her connection with the light as an undead

Shams are op, but so are paladins. It balances out.
nah. paladin in SoD isn’t weak, but they aren’t on the same level as ele or enhance

even in era ele sham own all spec of paladin lol
it’s not about 1v1s (I am capable of beating ele, if I lose, oh well, win some lose some) it’s about them being totally oppressive in a BG, there’s almost always more than one ele, flame shock spread from burn is so fried.
also no melee in the game can currently go toe to toe with enhancement. the only reason they aren’t as strong as ele is due to PVP being a caster/ranged heavy meta.
100% no, alliance cannot have shaman. They are already getting clerics to balance things out.
