I know in WoW we have different thoughts on what a low drop rate is, but 30% is a pretty low rate, but the main problem is that it’s gated behind an obviously very very low spawn rate OR a bug which is causing it not to spawn.
or it’s ‘gated’ behind rng and the rng gods just are not blessing you. sorry you can not accept that
People who say it’s just bad rng are probably the same people that think dream didn’t cheat because there is always a possibility.
So there’s the current invasion and one more before launch? I’m at work and don’t know. Good luck to all who still haven’t got the trinket.
Off topic but what’s the context for this? I don’t get it.
Why be so negative versus people who can only come on during a specific time of the day? Some people have lives. I am happy you were “blessed” by “RNG gods” but I don’t get the cynical approach people are taking in all this. It was just badly executed, plain and simple. Can you defend it? Sure can, that’s your right. Just don’t be surprised when you have a lot more people damning it. Just be chill instead of a child.
I’m not being negative. These people crying over it are literally unable to accept that RNG is RNG and that their real life stuff prevented them from getting a checks notes heirloom trinket that has a giant colored meandering proc effect.
It’s ok for people to fail and not get the RNG thing that ultimately doesn’t really matter
Just saying some people believe that the reason storm hasn’t spawned is just because of the astronomical RNG outcome when it’s really just a bug. There comes a point where it’s just obvious everyone is NOT just “unlucky”
Ungoro and Barrens change places…I love RNG…
I hope Devs really check this feedback for future iterations, since I doubt they’ll do something now.
I’m usually one of the people that rolls their eyes at the “I have a life” excuse but Blizzard did not implement this event very well. For one thing, the invasion by UC couldn’t be done at all even though it was reported to be broken on the PTR. And for another, they shouldn’t have implemented rng for these encounters since this event only lasted two weeks. All the spawn points should have went through a rotation, something like water>fire>earth>air so that way rng didn’t cause one event to be more rare than the other.
I don’t think the people freaking out are to blame.
You’ll be able to see that I said the same thing if you read my entire post.
Really sick of you guys zeroing in on one phrase and acting like that’s the only thing I said.
Barrens should be Earth at 2am, then Fire 4am ,Water 6am , Storm 8am…meanwhile Ungoro could be Fire 2am, Water 4 am, Storm 6am, Earth 8am…
Something like that for the 3 spawn points…SL pre patch even had a rotation for rares.
Icecrown Rares Spawn Order and Locations
"The rare Icecown bosses spawn in the following order. A new boss spawns every ten minutes, and it rotates through 20 rare bosses, so a full rotation is completed in 3 hours and 20 minutes. Visit Wowhead’s Today in WoW tool on the front page to see the next three bosses for your region, as well as how much time is left on Bronjahm! "
This is a step backward is good design…
Only one chance left for storm to spawn. Can Blizzard fix it in time? Or are the players forever missing a trinket.
Find out next expansion on Dragon Ball Z!
and I do. Simply because everyone knew that this was going to be RNG from the gates and if they read the forums knew that there were 3 +1 broken spawn point. If they MUST HAVE the trinket then they should have checked in to see what was up several times during the day and chained bosses thought the LFG tool as early as possible.
That doesn’t defend that it isn’t the best design, it is just what it is though. Some people will claim i am a shill because I said this is how you have to work around the event because there is no other option if you want the prize.
I love DBZ references but this wasn’t really anything other than an RNG is happening at it is negatively effecting players who didnt play to complete the event as early as possible and are unable to accept that real life trumps wow life sort of thing
The majority of players don’t read the forums.
that sounds like a problem that isn’t mine.
I direct people to always look for the patch notes and/or cruise about the forums a little before an event if they wanna get the most relevant data about anything happening in a limited time event. It’s not my fault they don’t do it
Nobody said it was your fault or your problem. I don’t even know why you would make such a silly statement. Wanna also point out how you don’t have control over the color of the sky today? Would be just as valuable.
Anyways, a Blizzard created problem is never the player’s fault and they did create two problems with this event. There should not have been an rng element to this because the event only last two weeks. And they should have fixed the UC invasion to give people more chances for an event that only last two weeks.
that’s a strange response. It’s a two week event and one of the bosses didn’t spawn at all during the second week. It’s bugged. No amount of reading can fix that.
yet you are using it as a reason to excuse someone elses poor behavior after making uninformed decisions.
Trying to pretend that this information isnt out there and to expect people to temper expectations based on actual information and not on 'well i thought’s is silly.
The Blizzard created problem is that the event was designed for players to participate in it every day for two weeks. Claiming that a player isn’t at fault when at the end of an event they havn’t completed it because they didnt participate enough is a farce.
It doesn’t matter if you read, if the boss only spawn during your sleep/work schedule…There’s a big issue with the RNG element added to the event…Blizzard does’t know how to do something FUN and a reward to promote the comming expansion…It’s like they only do 50% of the work well, the catch up from bosses AND a VENDOR was great…the items for the trinket account wide and that you could trade GREAT…the Invasion ROTATION…NOO GOD NOOO.
Explain to me how not logging into a game is “poor behavior.”
How would knowing the air event was rare and that the UC invasion wasn’t working helped out someone that couldn’t log on at specific times?
If this event made sense, you know where invasions were on a set rotation so people didn’t feel rushed, then yeah they would be at fault.
For the Legion prelaunch it didn’t matter what invasion was up. Why couldn’t they just do that again?
