Its my turn to suffer through the grind of getting unbound changeling. My best in slot trinket.
So far im on run 17 of mythic plus farming.
How many runs did it take you to get yours? Or are you still grinding?
By the way Developers. It is NOT fun game design. When you design certain trinkets to be better than others. 10 percent drop rate on my best trinket.
It took me a couple dozen on my main, and 1 on this character. My main was offered one in the vault earlier in the season, but I took a tier piece over it. RNG is RNG.
It doesn’t help that it is a bunch of different specs and classes bis seeing someone else get it is so disheartening
During season 2, my shaman got it on her 40th run of mists. And only because it dropped for somebody else who already had one, so they traded it to me.
I think I got it week 2 this season. Yeah, RNG is wild.
Spent about 17 runs getting my Changeling on my Priest and accidentally got it on my 3rd try on my Warlock.
I have since gotten a 278 on both, and a 278 Soulletting Ruby on my Warlock.
I’ve never had it drop for me the entire xpac
Mind you I can’t get int trinkets by still
I watched at least 10 drop for other people before I finally got mine. Also, when I did finally get it, it was from a +0 for the weekly dungeon event, which meant I needed 4400 valor to fully upgrade it :-/
I seem to get these all the time. I’ve gotten like 6 or 7 on 3 different characters in SL.
Friend traded it to me week 2, then got one in my vault week 4…after I had wasted valor of course.
I don’t think the changling should be BiS. Soleah’s technique and Ruby should be what casters aim for.
Ruby is terrible for frost due to them not needing very much crit.
A person was helping me and gave up which i cant blame them, its disheartening and depressing running a dungeon 20+ times for a piece of gear.
my shaman saw her very first ruby of the whole expansion in the post-s2 vault. i think she got it week 1 this season.
So’leah’s is often just a solid stat stick a-la Elegy. Ruby is BiS for numerous specs, worse than Moonlit Prism for numerous others, and bad for a handful of specs.
This character has been 60 for like 6 weeks and I got one the second week, but I don’t really farm things that much. It’s boring. I have gotten the trinkets I want pretty easily on everything but I do know someone who farmed changling and it took her like 30 kills.
I think I got mine on my first mists run. Fourth or fifth mists run I got a second one that nobody needed, so it was vendored.
Yep, run 18 so far. Today is gonna be nothing but mists grinding until trinket drops
Warlock in my group got his first this season.
Fill your groups with casters and pray everyone has it already. 
that’s just crazy and should not be happening. there is absolutely room in this game for a middle ground between “everyone gets full bis in a week” and “you can spend a year spamming dungeons and not even see some powerful items”
