Yep. I kinda feel responsible for the insanely bad luck in gearing. Last expansion I was very vocal about gear being handed out like tic tacs. What I meant though, was raid level/near-raid level gear dropping from non-instanced content. I didn’t mean you should be raiding/dungeoning aggressively and still go months and months without seeing an item.

Use your valor on the boxes if you have the IO for it in order to try and get it.
I lost count on how many runs I did and finally got it. I have to use valor now to upgrade it.
I’ve been through almost 3 seasons and it hasn’t dropped for me. Oh well, I make due with other trinkets.
Are you doing m0 every week? You get more drops that way and upgrading trinkets with valor isn’t awful. You only get 2 drops per run for m+ across the whole group, but with m0 you can easily get 2 drops per person. With m+, you effectively have a 2/5 chance to get selected for loot then a 10% chance on top of that to get the thing you want so really a 1/25 chance to get it assuming someone else doesn’t get it and not need it (which is uncommon for changeling since it’s BiS for so many specs).
The one I chased was faulty countermeasures. That was the most tanking I’ve done in years and I don’t even want to know how many runs it was, but it was definitely over 20. And because of the source, that was done over the course of a week. 
21 runs!!! It dropped!!

One of the saddest moments was me on one of my tanks and seeing 2 drop a few weeks ago…both were offered up for anyone to have…and me not on my caster still using a 246 ZM trinket…
Dang I must be super lucky, I’ve gotten three. Two from the vault and then one from the actual dungeon.
Took me 3 until it dropped for a guildie that didn’t need it. It’s also how I got my IQD.
My lock took 26 runs

We need a vendor.
Took me 21 runs. Afterwards I ended up seeing it drop at least 3 times a week whenever I do step into that dungeon.

Huh? Gear being better than other gear is like…the whole point of an RPG…otherwise you would just use the first thing you found and it wouldn’t have a point
When I farmed mine, it took me over 50 runs. I didn’t see one drop until 20 something runs in though.
Stopped counting after like my 20th run.
All those runs, tons and tons of vault choices. meh, I got the kara mount and the kings rest mount before I got the changeling. bad rng is just too real.
Took a few runs to get it in a chest - even at its base level it’s still very good. While it would be great to see a 278 version pop up in the vault, I was still very happy to use it at 262, 265 and now 268.
run mythic 0, bring a bunch of friends who can spec to get it… kill boss and hope it drops. 5x with a chance to get it is better than 1
Got mine on my second M+ run of Mists this season. However it took over 60 runs of Gambit to get my staff, and by that time I had the one out of DoS so it was barely an upgrade. RNG can be a cruel mistress.
On my main about 20+ tries. Had a guild group help farm it for me.
But on my two alts they received it 2-3rd runs.
Just the way it goes.

Same. It took me 21 runs
