is this the move after 20 years cus i tend to jump when im getting obliterated to only jus give myself a free DC
Adapt and overcome.
I would rather commit seppuku (in-game) than unbind jump.
I think the most frustrating thing,
-even more than the bug which is insanely annoying-
Is the complete radio silence from blizzard on the issue.
Jumping is one of the most useful things in WoW. So many times I have jumped mid stun behind a pillar to avoid damage in a go.
No it’s not. It’s up to Blizzard to fix their damn game.
Jumping carries you forward along your current trajectory, giving you a moment to use the same movement finger to tap a different button mid-movement. It’s a subconscious habit PVP players pick up.
Completley conscious of it now between healing greyed out bars and doing sick 360 no scope earth shocks only to see the login screen.
Turned off spacebar and now the world feels 2d lol
Yeah, that’ll happen when it becomes a problem. We PVP players do a lot of jumping.
I could never do this. Best I can do is try to not jump during CC, which seems to trigger a DC. The problem is that when you get stunned and then knocked… it still triggers a DC. I can’t control that.
Yeah.. jumping while running forward, then spinning backwards mid-air to disengage forward is like a core mechanic of hunters. And DHs kinda as well with vengeful retreat.
you have 4 other fingers
Is it possible this is GPU related? For example if one player plays on a potato, are they more susceptible to this? I don’t have many jump d/c if any. I do see tons of people D/C in big wpvp fights too.
Anyone ever see themself on a rbg stream or something similar and realize how recognizable you are by how your character is airborne like 80% more than everyone else on the stream?
Wow. Okay, ableist!
no one here is named able
Did you really expect anything else?
its typical wow’s cheat detection system that doesn’t like when players are airborne unmounted i think
No, but I’m still mad about it ![]()
Don’t tell me that… tell Cdew, seeing as this was his explanation. You’d better tell him right-quick that he’s got 4 other fingers, because he might not know!
Also real gamers remember when wow maintained your directional velocity if you got cc’d while jumping, so if a rogue opened up on you with cheap shot, you could get a step or two ahead of him and save yourself a global. For some of us that habit never really went away, but jumping 100% of the time in the open world was normal in vanilla/tbc
I would sooner not pvp.
