Hello. I was trying to purchase game time today but cancelled x 2 because it would only issue 3 days as opposed to 30 days but this isn’t my immediate concern, just how I discovered a greater problem and that is that my devil spawn made a purchase without my permission.
I see that there was a boost purchased on January 15th. I suspect the boosted character must have been transferred to another account because I have no idea where the boosted character is! I literally can not find it. There is no icon next to my characters and I don’t have any extra characters attached to my account so I’m not exactly sure what’s what.
I have opened a support ticket in my account but my fear is it will take 10 days before anyone see’s it. Is there anyone available to help?
If so, it could only be transferred to another license under the same Battle Net account. Do you show any additional licenses on your Account page linked below?

Americas & Oceania. and several public test realms. I play classic. I didn’t know we were able to transfer characters on classic accounts! I thought this was limited to retail.
Okay, so this is for Classic. Which version of Classic?
MoP Classic does have transfers available, but you should have seen a purchase for that as well. Unless, there was a move from one of the Legacy realms to one of the Active realms.
Out of curiousity, check the deleted character list in MoP

Click the curved arrow at bottom of character list.
I moved my 2 priests from Benediction to Raden during the big migration. That wasn’t a paid transfer. This is a $68 charge made on January 15th.
Checking the arrow gives me, “You have no deleted characters to restore”.
I do have old ones on Pagle but i recognize those as mine.
There is a free character transfer icon on the benediction page but I don’t have any characters to transfer. When I go through all of the realms, I only find characters that I’ve created.
I feel like an idiot. I know it’s there. I just don’t know where!
Are you seeing any new characters if you look at the Item Restoration page?

Did you check the Anniversary servers, the boost costs are the same.

Aside my my 2 main characters, there’s only low level characters of different classes that I just haven’t got around to playing. No level 85’s.
I never realized how many servers I’ve been on! There’s 9 The War Within, one Burning Crusade, 3 MoP and one Classic. I only am active with MoP. These are all very old accounts going back to 2007.
What level is the one on burning crusade? That would be the Classic Anniversary server, and is that a character you leveled up recently, in the last year?
I think I found it. There’s a level 58 on Dreamskythe. I don’t remember being on that server.
I don’t see this server though so that’s got to be an old one.
The other one is a level 3 on Classic servers so I know that’s not it.
Nope, that would be a newly boosted character, as the boost is to level 58 on the TBC Anniversary servers. Since the boost has been used, it does make it tricky for them to refund, but I think they can do it, however it will completely lock that character. It would require a ticket however.

Well I hope they do lock it because it’s not his to play. I did not give him permission to use my card. The only reason I haven’t removed my card is because I am hoping for a refund. Lessons learned. I have my card everywhere i.e. Amazon, Walmart, Blizzard… how foolish of me. Big lesson here.
Do you know how long it will take for them to acknowledge my ticket?
Generally it takes 2-5 days though, then likely a few days for the refund to process assuming they approve it. I would update your ticket, clarify the name and realm of the boosted character, ask that the boost be refunded, and the character locked.
I suspect someones going to have a bit of a spirited chat in the morning.
Edit: you also might want to look at turning on the parental controls, that can allow you to lock out things like the store.

I’m sure you’d thought about this in the past, but a separate account with parental controls enabled may be a good step forward.
That way when he’s old enough to control his own account, he’ll retain everything he’d earned, easing the transition.

Thank you very much for your help. I just went through all of the sites and removed my card. I don’t normally have other people on my computer and it is password protected but it’s moments like this that make me realize how careless I have been.
Again, thank you!
