Was 1.8 in vanilla? YES. it was.
Were unlinked flight paths in vanilla? YES, they were.
Were single realm BGās in vanilla? YES, they were.
Did Vanilla ever exist with BGās but without battlemasters? YES, it did.
By your logic, we should have 1.8 AV, no battlemasters, no CRBGās and unlinked flight paths since they were all part of (in) vanilla.
Things changed during vanilla. Those things include the epic mounts sold by vendors.
In 1.12, we had 1.12 AV, CRBGās, battlemasters, linked flight paths AND armored epic mounts sold by vendors.
Guess which version of things that changed during vanilla Blizzard has chosen to use in Classic.
Guess which version of epic mounts will be sold by those vendors.

This is more accurate that you know, because weāve established that this isnāt set in stone and they have decided to change it for some things. Soā¦ yep, all we can do is guess what will be in and what will be out unless they specifically tell us.

Yes. Weāre getting Classic. It may not be exactly what any of us envisioned, though.
Now weāre just saying the exact same things weāve already said. All of the thousands of people who signed the petitions for classic over the last decade were all advocating for unarmored mounts.

Too bad you cannot substantiate that claim.
I expect that many envisioned unarmored mounts being available.
I also expect that many envisioned things like an earlier version of AV, no battlemasters, no CRBGās, no layering, no loot trading, no RCR, etc.
As I said, the Classic we are getting is likely not exactly what anybody envisioned.

The truth is that Fesz is the kind of person where if he doesnāt get what he wants he wants to make sure nobody else does. Thatās the kind of person he really is. I think the people in this thread (the frequent posters) know him quite well by now. He was advocating against 1.12 AV and now he wants to make sure everyone suffers because he is a little child.
Substantiate the claim? Honestly. Unarmored mounts were, possibly, one of the absolute last things anyone had on their mind when we were thinking about what Classic would look like because no one (that Iām aware of, letās not get side tracked) was advocating not to have them like some people were advocating for not having truly vanilla talents, or a cash store, or vanilla vs. 1.12 AV, or anything else like that. Unarmored mounts was a non issue until blizzard let us know they werenāt implementing them because almost all of us just assumed that obviously they would be part of the game.
Whether or not what we envisioned is what weāre getting has absolutely nothing to do with whether or not we asked for it.

A bold claim and outrageous. I certainly never expected it for the exact reason Blizz ended up giving for their current exclusion.
You sound awfully familiarā¦ now who have I heard use this kind of language before. Convenient that as soon as a new claim is made in a thread thereās suddenly an immediate supporter. Almost as thought the person respondingā¦ was already actively participating in the thread, otherwise why jump in now? Que the āIām not fesz!ā comment please.
But I digress. There is a reason I prefaced what I said with āalmost all of usā because I knew fesz would immediately start jumping on any use of āallā or ānone.ā I would bet money that most people did not have unarmored mounts very high on their list of priorities when a cash store was still very much a concern. The fact remains that while things like AV, HWL gearing, talents, BGs, dungeon rollouts, etc. were all hot topics of conversation, the farthest unarmored mount discussion got was about not making the mounts from Classic servers crossover to Live servers.
You having no faith in Blizzard delivering a great iteration of Classic is fine. But my point was that when we signed the petition for Classic, or sat around hoping for Classic, I can all but guarantee that most of us included unarmored mounts in our vision of what the game would be.
