Could you link where they stated this in reference to the mounts specifically please?
This is a multi billion company, they have the manpower to handle coding issues of which were most likely enormous on this project.
They can test sticking a mount on a vendor it if thatâs your real concern here
they are 100% going authentic, thinking they would leave these mounts in for ever has a samller % of happening than them being added and later on removed and they said to not even want to do that.
Next to that, adding them in they will have to take out 1.12 changes during that period. U could never turn in cloth for rep while the unarmored mounts were in store.
I want them in badly, I want to be one of those feeling smug with my unarmored mount in Phase 4.
But it doesnât fit in a 1.12 scenario.
Talking authenticity, they even want to leave in leeway⌠If they arenât ready to take that out how willing do u think they will be towards making all these changes just to make authentic unarmored mounts a thingâŚ
I donât get it Mergons. You were posting so many times and defending the unarmored mounts then all of a sudden you make posts like this. Make up your mind.
Hee I want them, but I got to stay ontop of the facts and the chances we are getting them seem a bit low now.
Everyone seems stuck on the patch number, but they have bent over backwards to create the game in various states prior to 1.12 while using the infrastructure from 1.12 like all the P servers did.
If the game was being released just like it was prior to BC launching, with BWL, AQ, ZG, etc. already released, I would understand this logic for saying the mounts shouldnât be in game. However, they are going out of their way to make sure thatâs not the case, so how this argument applies to these mounts, I really donât follow.
Give me one example and no⌠gated raid content doesnât count.
The facts are that Blizzard are making a mistake and not a true Vanilla authentic experience.
I donât believe that they limited their reluctance to open that Pandoraâs to any specific things. I believe it was a general all encompassing policy.
Are you going to claim that if they never specifically mentioned those mounts, that policy does not apply to those mounts?
Then what are you asking for? If they initially making 4 phases then realizing the gated content would need at least 6 doesnât show their dedication to recreating the game in the most authentic way possible doesnât count, Iâm not sure you can be pleased on this one.
would to me be more like Pserver do by going through the updates 1.1 - 1.12.
So no they arenât they are making a Fits Best authentic expereince, were these mounts donât fit because of changes made that would have to be reverted for a few months.
Iâd still like them to do that and itâs not that much work at all.
No turn ins for AQ event.
Sure it does, content is content. What people come to play the game for, when asking for nice things. Being told we donât want you to have nice things, because of flawed reasoning, is an issue.
Moreover, the biggest question in this thread is;
Why do we even HAVE to ask for nice things?
4 weeks ago, when I wasnât aware, and became aware. My thought was âWait whaaaaaaaaaat?!â
They are time gating some things, yes.
Even those time gated things will be in their 1.12 version when they are added.
They are not adding 1.8 version of AV, are they? No, it will be the 1.12 version.
The 1.12 version of vendor sold epic mounts is the armored version. It just so happens that vendor sold epic mounts will be implemented in their 1.12 version on day 1.

Imagine the reaction of people that donât know about this because it was said in an interview that was âswept under the rugâ. I saw it by accident when I was browsing MMO-Champion and randomly saw a Q&A from an interview from a few youtubers that have less than 30k subscribers where I could have missed it very easily. Thanks, game devs. Keep it up.
Lets be completely real here, their issue isnât them looking out for the players. Their issue is, they donât want to lose their mount collectors in retail.
How crazy would it be if, they had limited time mounts that players could earn in a game they want to just be a museum piece. How crazy would it be if, 80% of the players that play retail, toured here and got hooked?
Suddenly, players realize that Vanilla WAS a better game⌠Acti-blizz couldnât have that.
Iâll tin-foil even further, I brought up titanforging lottery 72~ hours ago. The next morning, my pants dropped 415+TF = 430 WITH a socket(previously 405)! The following 36 hours I ran a Heroic warfront,(was afk the entire time eating pizza, admiring the leader of the group calling everyone monkeys). Awards a 430 item⌠I got an AZERITE POWER piece, WITH the exact trait I want. I can continue running triple garrote!
It gets better though! I run my favorite thing in BFA, Mythic+ 5x keys. I went 3/5 for loot, of the 3 loot slots, they replaced MY 3 lowest item lvl slots. 400->425 weapon, 395->420 weapon, 404 trinket -> 420 HASTE proc trinket, which Iâm stacking.
To anyone that actively plays BFA, theyâd understand that Iâve not been extremely lucky, theyâd say I hit the jack pot. Go buy a power ball, youâll win.
To anyone that actively plays BFA, I would suggest coming here and posting in this forum and point out how Classic is a better game, youâre luck would probably improve.
Acti-blizz, you canât buy me with your fancy trinkets in retail(I understand how slot machines work, youâll make one hot to make surrounding spectators put more coins in), Iâll still promote Classic till you severely re-haul retail. Note- another peeve I have in MoP on-wards, is getting stuck on your countless art projects that clutter the game now.(They are fkn beautiful though)
Itâs one thing to have foliage, and an occasional fence to jump over, but its hard to find a 100 by 100 yalm space anywhere to duel or pvp or just have general space to not feel cluttered in a dungeon.
No, I wonât claim that. This so called Pandoraâs box has been a talking point more times than I can recall. I find it interesting that this hurdle has been tackled in many instances when the devs desire to do so.
IMO they donât desire to do so because of this statement about curbing the rush mentality. Now we are back to square one where we leave this item out because little Jimmy will be hurt if others get one and he doesnât.
Perhaps you could provide examples of code and/or database being changed to substantiate your claim that Blizzard has âtackled that hurdle in many instances when they desired to do soâ.
There is a vast difference between time gating some content and changing code snd/or database.

I understand you stand by your patch reasoning.
Itâs going to be a hard sell though. They never mentioned this in their statement as to why these mounts are being left out.
Sorry Fesz, Iâm just not buying it and I suspect others here arenât either.
