Personally, they really should just have unarmored mounts being purchasable alongside their armored counterparts, from the time Classic launches, for as long as the servers are up. That will solve the “we don’t want players to feel rushed…” leap of logic.
Mounts are the prohibitively expensive aspect of the whole mount system as opposed to the training, so I doubt anyone will have more than one or two epic mounts at a time. A choice in mount color/armor would be making a statement of a sort.
Sure, the unarmored mounts were only available for a time in the original version, but I like the idea of unarmored mounts being something of an exclusive perk to Classic players, unless said Retail player was there back when they were in the original WoW. This way you can’t cheapen the original players and their special mounts, since Retail and Classic are separate.
There are much worse out there… I don’t think they hate their customers at all. They’ve lost sight on what matters and have been stuck between a rock(activision) and a hard place(passionate fans) for years.
Prove me wrong, show us that crybabies with their moms credit card are not more important than the neckbeard. Show all your true VIDEO GAME fans that you do care. Show that Classic still has that Blizzard WOW appeal many now older fans have been searching for.
To the young passionate fans out there looking for a great game, ask yourself; Would you like a game filled with enriching rewards that youve earned, or one that hands out participation trophies?
So no one can have or even see these mounts in this Classic because you are unable to use self restraint. If you want to take your time leveling then do so.
If you feel pressurised to do a certain thing in a video game, then you have issues. It’s a game. Either do it or don’t, your have the choice. If you don’t have the time for it then I’m sorry but that’s a personal problem. You feeling peer pressured and apparently having no willpower of your own or the time to farm for the item are all personal problems. Other people shouldn’t lose out in those cases.
Your only argument would be ‘I don’t have time to get these mounts and don’t want anyone else to either.’
I don’t support blizzards position, in my opinion… I don’t like the way they push people into a narrow scope, when the scope should be a vast world. A world where players, if they so choose could remove the armor from their cat, horse, or raptor. If the player feels that cat would be more agile without the armor. 1000g is a small price to pay when choice is threatened.
As I stated earlier, several times. I feel the mounts should be in indefinitely. The person whom I answered doesn’t like that option either, and still does not want to feel rushed.
He/she seems to be a contrarian who implying that our opinions are invalid, which I disagree.
If this was actually true, why were they removed? Felt is a powerful internal motivation, obsolete that became prestigeous, literally sucker punched in the mouth to those that traded in. How those players must have felt… they traded in at a time of choice. (Wow, these new mounts look cool) I’d like to know how many trade ins happened once they became exclusive.
How is having extra mount items in the game not a way to keep players busy for an extended period of time? Please don’t give me the 1.12 schpeel when using words like “Based on, Foundation, or Platform.” The mounts were in vanilla at launch, they should be in Classic as well.
Where to start here… yes very simply. Its striped, and an exceptionally iconic color. Thrall forbid my 10 year old nephew to learn something in a game.
How is it hyperbole? Both corrupted ashbringer and the unarmored mounts are highly coveted items that were both removed from the game and are unobtainable in retail. Using your same logic in regard to the unarmored mounts, every person who can wield a two handed sword will be after that item since it is unobtainable in retail right?
Blizzard should remove it in order to alleviate people altering their playstyle in order to acquire it. They should also remove the black battle tank because that will have day 1 implications on classic as well, we don’t want people rushing through content in preparation for AQ release so they can be the most prepared to rush through the quest line and bang the gong.
The only people who should have these mounts are the people that played in classic when they were available and kept them rather than trading them in.
Just like the only people who should have Amani War Bears are those of us who earned them in the time limit allowed. Any anyone who ride around on those five and dime purple recolors should be flogged.
So you’re saying when Classic is successful, a completely separate game. That when TBC classic servers are introduced you would flog and spit on players that conquer the timed bear run; riding their mint condition fresh Amani War Bear on a completely seperate game?
