We’re running out of things for Blizzard to BluePost on.
- RP-PVP
- Unarmored mounts
- Layering
- and…?
AV 1.5 got its response, Oceanic and EU Language servers got theirs. Progressive Itemisation got its blue post too.

Actually they don’t disagree with me, their reasoning for not including them has absolutely nothing to do with authenticity
My server opened up after the unarmored mounts were removed from the game. Inclusion of them would ruin my classic emersion experience because no one on my server had one. Blizzard I beg of you do not include the unarmored mounts.
And yet those mounts not being sold by the vendors is completely consistent with 1.12, which is foundation for Classic.
Yes but as I pointed out earlier, the vendors on beta no longer had the ability to trade in the old mounts for the new ones… an inauthentic change to 1.12.
Look… I know you’ve been reiterating the same point over and over and that I respond to it over and over but the bottom line is this…
I don’t care if this is changed, it’s harmless.
Unarmored mounts were in Vanilla in 1.12 and should be in Classic. All of the other time gated content is following a content release schedule and so should these mounts. The rationale of not wanting people to rush is flawed and there are far more valuable reasons like resource control incentivising power leveling already.
Please reconsider your position on this topic and you will make many Classic fans very happy. I see no negative impact on anyone by doing this aside from the exclusivity it would create, but after all exclusivity is what makes WoW feel so grand and the world feel so big.
We already know, by your own admission, that as long as you get what you want, you care nothing for authenticity.
Oh I care for authenticity when it comes to things like gameplay systems, stats, dungeon and raid mechanics etc…
But authenticity is out the window… MC is going to be cleared with 16 debuff slots and 1.12 talents… is adding the unarmored mounts into patch 1.12 really damaging to the game when they are literally altering the entire game already?
Let’s also acknowledge the fact all those time gated things are being implemented in their 1.12 version when the are implemented.
Oh, the epic mounts sold by vendors will also be in their 1.12 version when they are implemented, which will happen on day 1.
It sounds to me like they are using the 1.12 version of MC–with 16 rebuff slots and 1.12 talents.
Do I think that is the best version of MC? No, but that is the version they have chosen to use.
People who got their collector’s edition in 2004 or 2005 are getting their exclusive pets in Classic even though those were no long available when 1.12 came out.
How is this different?
Yes but it’s inauthentic to vanilla… patch 1.12 is vanilla… vanilla is not patch 1.12
I’d also love for you to make a list of things that I have asked to be changed and reasons as to why they are damaging to the game.
Yet, you just said you don’t care about authenticity.
Yes that’s what I meant, add karazhan and the emerald dream. Raise level cap to 65, aquatic mounts.
It’s not. He just wants to argue for the sake of arguing.
Still waiting on that blue post, Blizz.
Agreed, just feeding the troll that needs attention.
Blue post please, tell us you actually don’t have the mounts and prepping them would take months. I don’t buy what you are trying to sell.
Beta is ending soon. I don’t know if that is a good or a bad thing. They replied to the Oceanic server concerns, they replied to EU language realms and I really hope they are considering this as well.
Slightly off topic here, a few things to point out regarding Blizzard WoW vs Activision WoW.
Blizzard WoW had things like alchemy labs being tucked away in a dungeon and a raid, this MADE the player play to craft. He chose to be an Alchemist, he knows he’ll be super useful to his guild and friends because of this.
Blizzard WoW unintentionally or intentionally removed mounts from the game, which created prestige to a player’s hard work.
Activision WoW has everything gated by the day, by the week, leaving players only logging in to do their chores and get their allowance. When everything is gated, it means someone that wants to play for 5-6 hours or all day on a saturday (everyday for some) can’t for progression.
Blizzard WoW was more like a job, be it a job to pass time and make friends, a part time job, a full time job, or for some nearly a substitute for life itself. The choice is the player’s, and because they made the choice. Their effort and fruits of labor felt good.
Not the only reason why more people subbed back then compared to now, but I’m convinced its why I haven’t been immersed since Wrath.
Fingers crossed. This is such a small issue and so easy to fix.
It’s unlikely they will reply to this but I hope they do for those in favour of the feature.
They only relented and posted about EU realms because the Germans marshalled something ludicrous like 25,000 posts on their own forums alone, ignoring EN, FR and the rest.
This doesn’t seem to have the same steam. Good look though. I’m neither opposed nor in favour. Just a freedom of expression bump for them deleting the old thread.
