Unable to use portals on my earthen?

I have a level 21 earthen and cannot leave Eastern Kingdoms. The portal to.take me to Kalimdor is not there, but when i log on other characters that are not Earthen the portal is there. I also cannot use any other portals on the portal room to get to Caverns of Time. I just want to quest in Darkshore and i cant. Boats do not work either. Any help?

Don’t you have to be a certain level to unlock various portals?

I don’t think you do for the portals/boats/zeppelins between Kalimdor and EK. I’ve taken plenty of low level characters to a different zone, and I’m 99% sure different continents, because I just wasn’t feeling Bloodmyst Isle (or Silverpine Forest or whatever) that day. Been a while though, maybe something changed.

What portal are you trying to use? There isn’t one to just Kalimdor. Is your Earthen using Chromie Time?

I was on the regular time and then switched to cata hoping i could use one of the cata portals and those are not working either.

Which specific portal. From where to where.

I think OP is referring to the portal on the dock in Stormwind that replaced the boat to Teldrassil. I have tried with a level 11 gnome I’ve had for a while and a level 1 human I just made, and neither can see that portal. They can take the boat to Kul Tiras or Northrend, but not the portal. Both can also take the flight path to Booty Bay, boat to Ratchet, and flight path to Rut’theran Village, and there they can see the portal back to Stormwind, but level 1 can’t use it, because it says it requires level 10. Level 11 can use it. That’s what I’d expect to see at the Stormwind dock, rather than it’s just missing.

It’s weird that there’s a level limit on that. I don’t think tjhere used to be, or at least there wasn’t when it was the boat. And the very similar Horde portals - the ones that replaced the zeppelin between Undercity and Orgrimmar - don’t have this level limitation. My level 8 blood elf can go back and forth just fine.

Probably going to post in bug reports because I think at least some of this is not intended behavior.
