I am stuck at updating with nothing happening for almost an hour. There are multiple other people in my guild that have the exact same issue. It just spins at initializing. I have rebooted, disabled all AV, ran bnet as admin and its still having the same issue.

Same issue. Thought it was on my end, even freed up space by deleting wotlk classic. No dice.
Same thing here, have been stuck on initializing for over 30min. Have tried restarting and uninstall/reinstall with no luck.

Was logged in about 30 mins ago, logged out to do something around the house. Wish I had known this garbage would happen, would have stayed logged in.
Wonder if this is related to ow2.
Ok, I thought I was the only one but looks like it’s more wide spread. I’ve tried exiting and restarting, pausing the update, even trying a scan and repair. I am unable to log in.

It’s happening to me too, I’ve tried the usual steps the only next step would be uninstall reinstall
Just don’t use the launcher. Go in using wow.exe.
Doesn’t launch the window.

Try going to %programdata%
and deleting the battle.net folder. That worked for me.
I am having the exact same issue.
It’s been initializing for 2 hours now, I’ve tried restarting and nothing has changed
I deleted every Blizzard, Battle.net, and Blizzard Entertainment in all those %appdata% like files suggested, and didn’t work.
Same here. It was working fine a few hours ago and it’s no longer working.

Game Initializing at 0%
I even closed Battle Net and tried again.
I’m running a Scan & Repair now, to see if that fixes it.
Add me to the is of folks experiencing this issue where WoW says it needs to update on the Blizzard App and then just spins there initializing for over an hour. I stopped and started it again to make sure the app wasn’t frozen up. Closed and restarted the Blizzard App. No luck. Please fix!
