With 8.3 unlocking legendary items for transmog, I find that I still cannot transmog into the Warglaives of Azzinoth. There seems to be a lot of confusion out there whether this is a bug or it intentionally not possible to do it. Can we get some clarification please?

It’s intentional, to keep the transmoggable warglaives unique to Demon Hunters.

The Warglaives of Azzinoth are NOT transmoggable.
Demon Hunters (only) can use the appearance that they obtain via the Arsenal: The Warglaives of Azzinoth.
Blizzard post:
- Many legendary weapons are now transmogrifiable
Developers’ note: The Warglaives of Azzinoth dropped from Illidan in Black Temple are the one exception, as a custom method for Demon Hunters in particular to obtain this transmog appearance already exists through Black Temple Timewalking, and we do not want to diminish the value of that unique reward.

If you have the achievement for equipping the Warglaives of Azzinoth, you need to do Time Walking Black Temple during Burning Crusade Time Walking to get the transmog for your Demon Hunter(s).

I know now how to earn them to be usable on my DH (whenever BC timewalking comes around again). However, I earned them on my rogue and my warrior, long before there was a DH (and they had to sit in my bank because I couldn’t xmog them). Now I can xmog them, but only on my DH? Yeah that totally makes sense.

So, you want my effort to earn that xmog for my DH (by completing that timewalking raid) to be worth less than you just simply having the weapons?
I had them before DH’s even existed. But because you completed a timewalking raid (you don’t have to even do it on a DH), now your DH is the only one allowed to wear the xmog of a pair of swords? Blizz should have just changed them from Swords to Warglaives and really slapped us in the face, at least then it would have made more sense. But nope, I can still equip them on both my warrior and rogue, and run around with them “diminishing DH’s value”

So post in the Transmogrification forum. The Devs don’t take feedback/suggestions from the Customer Support forum and the SFAs here are not liaisons with them.

I’m aware, and I never implied they were. Just venting my overwhelming frustration while waiting on the game to actually let me log back in so I can put my Warglaives on.

Typical weak reasoning from Blizzard. Really disappointed that they want to keep these Demon Hunter only, as if that actually means anything at all. Anyone that has the Warglaives put in a substantial amount of effort to get them. It’s not like they just fall off the back of a vendor cart. Sure it’s not as hard to get them as it was when you had to have a guild supporting you, but with the reasoning Blizzard is employing here, they’re acting like Demon Hunters are the only players that had to put forth any effort in getting this item. It’s incredibly pointless to act like completing the timewalking version of BT is some sort of accomplishment of merit.

If you want that to change you need to post where the Devs and CMs can see it. That would be in General Discussion or the Transmogrification Forum for this. They don’t take feedback from the Customer Support forum and the SFAs here are not liaisons with them.

As already mentioned a few times in this thread, the CS forums are not a feedback forum. You’ll want to use the in-game suggestion feature or Transmog forums.

Such a restriction on the warglaives is a fair decision. Sure, it took me weeks to get both glaives on a character that can equip them and it took me months to find a guild that can do the timewalking raid. However, I personally respect that decision because it values all that time that I had placed in to unlocking that xmog for my DH.

This is infuriating to someone who had them before DH was even in the game. The rogue daggers aren’t locked to rogues. Maybe we should think things through and make it fair. Also finishing that timewalking raid is a joke. I can’t even find a group that can kill supremus because they can’t be bothered to do mechanics and the only people who queue are wearing garbage gear and can’t finish raidfinder.
