Unable to talk in General in Specific zones

I’m trying to figure out why I’m not properly joining General Chat within specific zones.

I only know of one so far but while in Val’Sharah I’m not put into it’s chat systems. If I zone over to Suramar, or any of the surrounding zones, I’m put into their chats and when I zone back to Val, it sayings Left Channel General X Zone Left Channel LocalDefense X Zone.

I’ve dont chat reset, I’ve deleting the Chat cache, and I’ve done a full UI reset. I’m at a loss.

EDIT: I found a couple of other players running around. They to were unable to talk in Val. So now I’m wondering if it’s a server side issue? Strange.

Zone chats down?

That’s a known bug. It’s not always constant, but certain zones will sometimes have their chat channels fail, preventing chat while out there. In some cases a server reset causes it to recover. Devs are working on it either way.
