Unable to reuse the name of a Level 1 character in TBCC

I found a previous post here by Vrakthis that seems to suggest that as long as it was on the same account, I should be able to re-use the name immediately if the placeholder character was deleted.

I have a level 60 character I want to do delete on wow classic but I want the name again for WoW TBCC. Some people are saying In can delete the character and reuse the name immediately. Some people are saying its 30 days. My friend had a dead level 31 deleted it, and then took its name immediately without any delay. However someone else told me that level 60 characters are different. What’s the truth here? Can I just delete my character on prepatch and then use the name again immediately on …
