Unable to race change to Pandaren in MoP classic

Purchased a race change to make my 85 orc rogue to 85 pandaren rogue. Went to use the race change and Pandaren was greyed out. I submitted a ticket and the GM stated its not intended to race change to pandaren and processed a $25 refund. Below is the email i received:

the gm is wrong, people have been boosting pandas left right and centre, its just bugged for some people

boost is different from changing your main into a panda

people have definitely changed their mains to pandas also

u can see there are more than 50 level 85 pandas online

it wouldn’t make sense for the policy to be u can boost pandas but you can’t change into them…

then idk wat da heck who employs these people. unless they made a panda xyz level 1 and used the boost on whatever they made??

That doesn’t mean they race changed.

Blizzard offered a free boost for SoD players. Those are people who boosted.

Knowing how blizzard works, anything that involves paying them money will likely be hot fixed as soon as humanely possible.

Free bump so this gets attention, and I’d wager they’re going to prioritize this.

blizzard doesnt care about my measly $25, this is “technically intended”. Blizzard has soured the taste of MoP classic for me and they probably dont care. I wish I could go back to SoD instead but no one else is playing SoD so I’m stuck having to deal with it.

There’s a reason that diablo 4 had tons of stability issues, but the cosmetic cash shop never did. It’s a demonstration of priorities.

I’d be infinitely more confident the issue of a player actively trying to spend money gets addressed, than a large number of the (and no offense intended, just my opinion) “bigger” issues.

Also, fwiw, it’s not just your $25…it’s you, and every other player who was intending to swap panda each spending $25. You’re talking about something that’s very likely more money than one of the devs responsible makes in a year on the whole.

Also, again free bump for your cause, I hope it does get addressed

Am I stupid or does it not make sense at all that you can boost a 85 Pandaren but you can’t race change to one?

You can also faction change to panda, wait 72 hours, then faction change back if you’re willing to spend the money, you just can’t directly race change

I am not making or changing to a Panda, but I hope you will be able to do so. This was allowed during OP MoP, but that might have been after go-live… i can’t remember – been too long.

Its why race change was put in the game in the first place, yeah. Back in OG Wrath faction change actually came first, but they found people were using it to race change so they added the race change service shortly after

My reply from a GM:

“Regarding the issue changing your character to Pandaren with the Race Change, well, it is unfortunate that with the update of Mists Of Pandaria, the changes to Pandaren is not possible in the time being. Only Character Boosts are available to Pandaren class for now.”

Just take my money blizz I know you want it
