Unable to purchase game time

I’ve reported this to support, get similar responses each time. Whenever I try to add my visa card I get an error message, or it won’t let me type it at all. I even contacted my bank and they say there is no error on their end, they aren’t blocking Blizzard charges. After back and forth with support for 2 days, with the same generic responses and troubleshooting guides I finally try PayPal… It goes through saying… “Subscribed: World of Warcraft® Subscription - 6-Month Offer Next Payment: now” But my account is still inactive… I get no confirmation of my purchase on PayPal, my bank or from Blizzard.

Id give it 24hrs digital purchases can take up 2 24hrs and pay pal is notoriously finicky.

Did you visit your transaction page, Taurm? It looks like those purchase attempts failed. I’d recommend trying the following troubleshooting steps to see if that helps.

Also, try to locate game time cards or Blizzard cards. as both of these will add game time. Do not buy the Battlenet card and attempt to add game time as the Bnet cards are for chara transfer and purchase items from the store. I’ve always used game cards to add time, But the game card itself is getting difficult to locate. So I’ve switched to the Blizzard card. This add funds to your blizzard account then you can reallocate the funds to the game via the account settings.

It seems to be an issue on Blizzards end. Paypal is also declining the transaction after contacting them. I also contacting my bank and same thing. I’m not sure what the issue could be since my bank tells me there is no issue on their end and the card is fine.

And If it does come to getting a game time card I will. But I also make purchases of other games on battle.net. I can’t even add my card to my account without getting an error.

I’d recommend putting in a ticket using “Purchase Failure”, they may be able to take a closer look and see what is going on.

I’ve tried this. I have a ticket open under Purthase failure that is going 3 days since this issue started and I just keep getting repeated answers and links to trouble shooting that I have stated I already done.

Nothing seems to work and ive tried literally everything.

They would need battlenet balance cards and use that battlenet balance to buy time cards from the blizzard store.

You’ve probably already addressed this or been asked through Support - but just because I’m curious and trying to weed out the usual suspects, but are you residing in the same country that your game is registered to (as in the legal address you provided when creating your account), and is your card also set to the same? Like you’ve not moved to a different country or are temporarily residing elsewhere and had not updated your account info?

I haven’t moved to a different country or changed my address. I’m in Canada and so is my card. Nothing has changed.

Make sure your bank is not flagging these transactions as possible fraud and stopping them.

I called my bank twice already and they said that it isn’t blocked. Either they don’t know what they are talking about or they are misunderstanding what I’m saying.

Now I can’t even type in my card info, I get this error message after clicking my Address and continue .

I called my bank a 3RD time and they have confirmed once again they aren’t blocking Blizzard purchases as fraud… I’m completely out of ideas what to do. My bank is telling me it’s a problem on Blizzard’s side… But Paypal is telling me it’s my bank denying the purchase from Blizzard. SO STRANGE

just to add, At one time I was ordering auto parts from Netherlands… and I didn’t notify my bank. Ended up locking my account. because of the bank’s new security features. So if this is the case with your bank. You’ll have to call the bank during regular business hours. Seeing you’re in Canada… and making a purchase in the US, this could send a red flag to your bank.

I called my bank THREE times today, third time to check if maybe they misunderstood me. All during normal business hours. They are telling me they aren’t blocking Blizzard but it is a problem on Blizzard’s end. They even talked to the fraud department to make sure.

Please do not get upset with those helping you… If your bank says that it’s on blizzard’s end then you’ll have to wait until blizzard is back on regular business hours next week. otherwise check into a blizzard or game card just to see if this will bypass any issue and allow you return to the game till the issue has been corrected.

I wasn’t getting upset with you. I was just emphasizing I called my bank three times to ensure those that are wondering if it is maybe my bank blocking Blizzard.

I just wish I could have a conversation with someone from Blizzard instead of back and fourth ticket responses from a different GM every 1-5 hours.

That is incorrect information as Battle Net Balance can also be used to purchase 60 days of game time from the Shop. Please note, that blocks of game time differ from a subscription (which is in need of a recurring payment system and thus cannot be funded by Balance, as Balance is not a recurring payment system).
