I’ve been attempting to transfer a character of mine to another realm and whenever I go to pay, there is always some kind of error.
When trying with paypal in or out of game it will say that the payment was no authorized despite my paypal having enough funds and being linked to a card, I had been able to make purchases this way a few hours before trying the realm transfer.
When trying to use my bank card it will be stuck in an endless loading screen, disconnecting me after a few minutes in game or just never ending on browser.
I’ve tried removing and re-adding all my payment methods, trying to add a card does the endless loading unless i try on my phone, where I can add a card but not purchase with it as it will tell me that there was an error.
I’ve tried in and out of game on two different computers and with two different internet connections and nothing is changing.
I’ve also tried purchasing a Blizzard Balance but being unable for the same reasons listed above.
I’m not sure what else I can try or if this is something to do with Blizzard’s servers. All week I’ve been able to make purchases and suddenly I keep getting these errors.
Is there anything else I can do?
Have you tried temporarily disabling any firewall or antivirus software you have running?
Disabled the Discord overlay and/or Razer Synapse software?
I know Paypal is a more secure way to do this, but have you tried using your card to purchase directly?
Doing this will let you know if it’s an issue with your Paypal, or a larger issue with your ability to purchase in general.
Yes I’ve tried using my card directly, it will get stuck in an endless “loading” screen until I’m disconnected from the game or endlessly if in browser. I’ve tried this method in and out of game on two computers and on my phone, none of those worked. I tried removing and re-adding the card as a payment option and it gets stuck in a loading screen as well.
I do see a ton of failed attempts here, it isn’t liking your Paypal at all for whatever reason.
I’m not seeing you with any Blizzard balance to use either. That may be a loading problem on my tools if you see yourself with a balance available.
I’d first suggest removing the Paypal line from your wallet entirely. Then, redo the card line, fresh. I know you’ve mentioned you’ve done all that but at this point you’ve mentioned most of the normal steps we trouble-shoot with, so going back to square one may be best.
Another thing that can cause that spinning is if you are being blocked by security software, sometimes programs with overlays will do it, like discord.
If none of that helps, reaching out to Billing for their suggestions would be next.
