I have repeatedly tried to contact support and fix my character problem (unable to login due to “character already existing”). Whenever I try to use the character stuck feature, it gives me an error message telling me to contact support to have a GM help me…
Yet when I try to contact support, I am pigeonholed back into the exact same automated support system without any option to actually contact an employee and eventually sends me back to the same page. It’s an endless cycle with zero ways to actually contact an employee to help me. Wtf? Let me make a ticket, especially when the error page literally told me to.

If this is something that is just now happening, it seems like it is related to the server crash/disconnect that went through within the past half an hour or so. There are other threads cropping up with the same issue. In this instance, there isn’t a fast resolution as ticket times right now are at 7-ish days turnaround.
The best suggestion thus far is just to log out completely for 15-30 minutes for the system to do a hard reset.

This is by design, as when the self-service is on cooldown it’s supposed to present you with the option to lodge a ticket for game master intervention. I can’t take a screenshot at the moment because it seems the crash Leilleath mentioned has also wormed its way into the web support system, but once it returns I can fix that so you can see what you should see.

I understand the problem will eventually sort itself out, but I find it absolutely ridiculous that the support system is literally telling me to contact a GM and make a ticket. I have absolutely no way to do so, and it sends me into an endless cycle of zero support.
Maybe some find this to be an acceptable practice to reduce ticket traffic, but I don’t. Horrible
That’s not what’s going on, at all. There was a system crash that affected many of Blizzard’s systems. That’s why you can’t submit a ticket after the self-service character move failed. Not because of some attempt to reduce ticket traffic.
Just be patient, I’m sure they are working on it to bring all systems back up.

This is what should be showing after you’ve used the self-service and put it on cooldown. Clicking the link at the bottom of that cutout redirects to a ticket submission form.
