Unable to login to WoW when I manually open wow.exe

Which box? They still have the box for multiple WoW accounts on one battle.net. I’ve never seen one for multiple battle.net (different email addresses) in their launcher. If there is an option for this, I would love some help.

I have two email address, just checked box and ran both open battle.net’s at the same time. Play drops first account down to taskbar. Second play drops the other one down there.

For anyone else interested it’s under the Battle.net Menu.

Go to Settings, App, Advanced Features (at the bottom), and select “Allow multiple instances of Battle.net”.

It has a note of “Using this will let you run multiple copies of Battle.net on this computer. It’ll almost certainly cause weird things to happen. Don’t say we didn’t warn you!”

Thank you for pointing this out. I found out where the setting was on a MMO Champion post.

(deleted) Looks like someone else posted the solution.

Second question. Do you always have to login to the second bnet launcher? This isn’t a problem at all since I was doing this anyway. Just making sure I’m not missing a second part.

It sounds like that’s where we’re stuck until they fix the problem that was created today. I’ll add another voice to the mix hoping they fix this quickly.

So they removed it?
I’m at work, so…

When I don’t have any instances of bnet launcher running, it logs me into my main account. When I click the bnet a second time, it opens another launcher and asks me for the second account login. The “remember me” checkbox is greyed out and state I have an open bnet launcher already running (main account). I’m not sure if this is normal behavior or not.

was already another thread going prior to this, but more the merrier, same message in other thread, they working on a fix.

I picked the oldest in the search list and went with it since it had blue responses. I’ll checkout the other ones. Thanks

My issue is that playing from the launcher gives me latency issues for whatever reason. My ping is 3 times as high launching from the launcher for reasons I can’t understand.

That’s really weird. My main account has 32ms and my second account has 57. I never had that issue when I used the exe.

Believe me it took forever to find that as the “cause”. Right now, from the launcher, I’m at 80. From the .exe I’d be at 25ish. I guess it is what it is, but it sucks.

And only in classic. Don’t ask me lol.

And now my ping is over 200. Wonderful…

Happened to me today too. I usually avoid the launcher and only go to it to update, because as a Mac user, the thing is pretty much telling me to buy products I can’t even use.

And saying just use the launcher is a really horrible answer.

I am encountering this problem as well. With multiple accounts, I drop from the character selection screen back to the login screen to switch because that is faster than fully exiting to desktop and relaunching from the app. Until reset today, this worked. Assume the Blue post above means that requiring the Authenticator code being manually inputted which then fails and logs you out is being addressed.

Just posting to say that it isn’t just from launching WoW.exe to start the game that this issue happens. It appears to occur whenever you do not use the launcher app to log in.

NEVER try to “fix” what is not broken…

I think of running WoW from the exe as being like multi-boxing.
Allowed but not supported.

The launcher should do its job.
My wow.bat file
Start “wow.exe” /HIGH “D :\wow.exe”

In same file I also launch the launcher. Oh…
My password is password not really.
